I certainly hope we don't purchase any perishables for Sunday's breakfast.
My suggestion is too cancel the breakfast now. In the unlikely event the Temple is open the turn out will be minimal.

Hello Brothers:

Severe weather conditions are expected across our area this weekend and your and your family's safety is ALWAYS the #1 priority.

As of now our Brotherhood Breakfast is still scheduled for this Sunday morning at 9:45 AM but there is a possibility Temple Shalom may be closed and our Breakfast cancelled or postponed due to the storm.

We are all watching the weather very closely and Brotherhood will let you know the Breakfast status via email by Sunday at 8:00 AM latest.

Of course, if we get any updated information before Sunday morning we will notify you immediately.  Please continue to check your email.

You can also check on weather announcements from Temple Shalom with the following guidelines:

I agree -- if the snow doesn’t stop until after dark tomorrow,

most people will wait until Sunday morning to clear their driveway.

Good afternoon,

Here's how I see it: the food has been purchased, except for the bagels. Everything can be saved til next weekend, or even longer. We can cancel the bagel order early Sunday if necessary. We may only get 4-6 inches of snow at the Temple. Really no reason to cancel now, let's see what happens.

Next Sunday is the Congregational Mid-Year Update meeting, at 11am. I already asked if that could be made later, and the answer was no. Need to be finished during RS hours.

So, if we have to cancel this Sunday, an option is to have the breakfast next weekend without a speaker. That way we can finish up by 11am so anyone who wants to go to the other meeting will be able to. Not fair to rush the speaker or have people walk out.

We need to have the Fiddler raffle drawing before the end of the month. And we need to read the proposed constitutional amendment to all. Nothing else really pressing.

Be careful out there!
Shabbat Shalom,
Ken
