We spent
$1350 so far for the Comedy Night.
Glen Salny
stopped by to talk about Make a Difference day on April 17th.
They need 4
people to volunteer with the garden and need money to buy
supplies.
Jay made a
motion that we spend up to $400 for mulch or fertilizer and $200 for the garden
supplies. 2nd by M. Schreiber. The vote was passed. They would also like to set up an irrigation system
to make it easier to water the garden.
Temple Board Report:
The Temples
new web site is going live approx. March 1st.
They again
were discussing the 50 /50 raffle to make it a success.
The Boards
religious school trustee Raellen Kessleman stepped down.

Administration:
They are
still looking for ways to raise money for the Temple. They
are thinking
about renting out space for funerals. There was a suggestion
that maybe
we should offer 1 year free membership if someone not a member
has a
funeral at the Temple.
Lifelong learning: is having an event February 29th in
the Judaic Study Center.
BH
Membership: a goal is to have over 100 members.
Religious
School:
The
religious school has a new assistant. It is a paid position.
The Rabbi’s
wife was helping out before the hiring.
On Sunday
March 6th the kids will walk through the art gala.
Renaissance: On March 6th Rabbi Soffin
will be hosting an event.
On March 13th
there will be a trip going to see A Jew Grows
in Brooklyn.
Ritual: There will be second night Seder again. They would also like
the BH to repeat the Glow Stick/Hot Dog Shabbat on Memorial Day weekend.
Social Action: On April 17th there will
be another Habitat Build, part of MADD.
We need a few volunteers to set up
beds again for the housing of the homeless program.
Unfinished Business:
The Fiddler Raffle made $265. Jay has
a connection that maybe we can raffle
off 2 NJ devil tickets.
Our constitutional amendment passed.
Ken Kline will take Joe’s place
for now on Ways and Means.
Upcoming Events:
Tomorrow night, February 25th,
5 people are going to see “A Night with Janis Joplin” at the Mayo PAC in
Morristown.
The Art Show is from March 3rd
to the 6th. Thursdays preview will begin at 7:30pm. We have sold
about $2500 of sponsorships for our ad book. The better wine glasses are $1
each. M. Schreiber made a motion to buy 150 of these glasses, 2nd by
Barry. The vote passed.
March 11th is the
Brotherhood Shabbat and dinner.
March 13th is our next
breakfast.
There have been 16 tickets sold for
the Devils game on March 20th.
Purin Carnival is 3/20. M. Bloom will
man the kitchen for hot dog duty.
Our Men’s Seder will be on April 17th,
5pm.
Comedy Night is April 30th. Ken Kline made a motion that we Charge $45 in
advance per ticket and $50 at the door. 2nd by M. Bloom. The vote
passed.
New Business:
Ken appointed Eric Levine to chair
the Nominating Committee. He will assemble the committee and will be contacting
all trustees within the next month.
Discussion about MADD. We will look
into another clothing drive with Jason Apter’s help.
