This is my first ever repaint for Flight Simulator, hope you will like it.I chose to repaint the IL-86 in Hajvairy Airlines livery (A pakistani airline, which suspended operations in 1993 due to bankrupcy) due to its simlplicity.The textures demonstrate a typical livery of an aircraft leased by Aeroflot.Note the cheaply overpainted word "Aeroflot", the aeroflot insignia and theSoviet flag on the tail. I have also provided a real life photo of tha planefor you to compare. The Textures works both with FS2k2 and FS9.
File Description:
The Il-18 is a four turboprop engined passenger aircraft for medium-long range. The first Kuznetsov NK4 powered flight was on 4 Jul 1957 from Moscow-Khodynka airport, the first Ivchenko AI-20 powered flight on 17 Sep 1958. This plane was produced in series for 12 years and achieved great popularity due to the favourable load factor. The main operator was Aeroflot, but the IL-18 proved a popular plane with airlines behind the former "Iron Curtain". The first operator outside the former USSR was the state airline of communist China, CAAC, who took delivery of 13 IL-18's between 1959 and 1967. Featured are two early production IL-18B's, two IL-18V's (the most common version) and one IL-18E Salon VIP-transport (in fact Mao Zedongs personal aircraft). These are textures only. You will need the FS2004 Aeroproyecto Ilyushin IL-18D (aeroproyecto_il18d.zip; available at Flightsim.com) by Edgar Guinart Lopez. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.
