the acutal issue is that when you run any command in any specific git repo, it checks the issuer id with that of the ownership of the repo files, if git finds any conflict then you may get an error like:

Also, to get the old toolbox uninstalled, I had to reboot into safe mode. Otherwise the uninstaller just hung. Then booted back into regular mode, removed all traces of the existing printer, then reinstalled the new software and it works great.

PS if by chance you messed up and the uninstall states that the program must be installed to uninstall again do a forced uninstall with revo. Do not leave any traces of the old mftool box and / or drivers. Revo will do that for you.

Sometimes its like that. You can still install windows without formatting. Since the file system is still recognized, all you need to do is setup windows by leaving the file system as it is without formating. Stup will delete the old installation file and copy a new one.

You will not loose your files, but they will be relocated to somewhere in C: drive.

from Microsoft then that one can repair, as well you can try to get another

copy of XP maybe from a friend it think it can work,

Sometimes a third party check disk/defrag utility and also repair any

corrupted files as well. Depending on your environment, sometimes its

simply easier to reinstall windows. If you have a lot of files that

need moved off, you can install right over your old installation (make

sure you create a new username on startup), and then once installed, you

browse to your old profile (documents and settings(Profile) and pull

the files over to your new profile and then reinstall your programs.
