Good Morning,

I want to send out a reminder about United Way of Broome County’s Volunteer HQ platform.

Volunteer HQ is an online hub for volunteer opportunities with nonprofit agencies across Broome County. It is a great place for volunteers to see what opportunities are available in their area.

Volunteer HQ: https://www.uwbroomevolunteers.org/

With new restrictions going into SNAP, many residents in Broome will have to start reporting volunteer hours or working to continue receiving SNAP benefits.

We are showing Broome County DSS the platform this week to help our residents quickly be able to track their volunteering.

By having a profile and volunteer opportunities on Volunteer HQ, you make it possible for residents to find your agency easily.

Additionally, make sure that you check your profile to make updates as needed, this will help residents get connected to any new volunteer opportunities you may have.

You can watch a tutorial on Volunteer HQ here: https://www.uwbroome.org/nonprofitresources/#volunteerhq

Here is a handbook: VHQ handbook for agencies

If you have any questions, please reach out to Erin Zipman, CC’d.

Have a great day!

-Tim
