Good afternoon! We are reaching out as in the past we have provided you with information on how your stakeholders can utilize their various nutrition incentives, such as SNAP, FreshConnect, Veterans FreshConnect, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program and WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program, at the farmers markets in Broome County. The 2026 season will kick off for all the farmers markets in Broome County, outside of the Broome County Regional Farmers Market which operates year-round, in the next three or four weeks. We’re excited to announce that in 2026 all five farmers markets will participate in all these programs and increase accessibility for fresh produce, and other farm fresh items! This is a great opportunity for community members who are on SNAP to leverage their benefit at the farmers market as they can double their SNAP purchase up to $100 each market day simply by using their SNAP card to make a purchase.

In the past we have been happy to provide printed copies of the attached resource. We are happy to do so again in 2026 if you can advise us as to how many you may want/need as well as a timeframe. Additionally, we are providing you with digital versions which may be helpful for social media or newsletters.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Laura
