Hey folks!

The 2nd Annual Brooklyn Skillshare is almost a MONTH away! (Reminder to check us out on Saturday, October 9th, 2010 at the Brooklyn Community Arts and Media High School!)

We cannot express how stoked we are to have double the amount of classes than we had last year and as vast an array of skills to share!

  1. CLASS SCHEDULE: Here is link to our class scheduleThat's 25 classes! 5 blocks of 5 classes at a time in one hour blocks. Amazing!

  2. ORIENTATION: We are having an  orientation on Wednesday, September 22nd at Brooklyn Launchpad in Crown Heights. This is a meet-up for volunteers who'd like to learn more about the Skillshare and get involved, whether through distributing fliers or volunteering on the day on October 9th.

  3. KICKSTARTER: We have a Kickstarter fundraiser still underway (until October 1st) to help us cover costs. So far we've got $620 raised towards our goal of $1500! WE'RE SO CLOSE and we need to buy supplies for all these amazing classes before October 9th!

Different tiers of donation offer backers different rewards:
  • $10 is early suggested donation fee + you'll be entered to win your very own worm composter that will be created on the day of the Skillshare!
  • $25 is fee waived + entered into raffle + name as donor on our website and brochure
  • $50 Fee waived + entered into raffle + your name as a donor on our website and brochure + Skillshare gift bag filled with local goodies
  • $100 Fee waived + entered into raffle + your name as a donor on our website and brochure + Skillshare gift bag filled with local goodies + personal invitation to our post-Skillshare thank you dinner.
4. NEW SITE: Check out our swanky new website! www.brooklynskillshare.org!

We hope you're as excited as we are!

Stay tuned and feel free to hit us up with any questions you may have!

Best,

Meg Wachter, Caroline Nagy, & Yana Walton
