Nell,So good to hear from you!!! He's too cute and I think looks a lot like big brother, Theo :) Glad to hear things are going pretty well and easier with nursing the second time around! I bet you'll fall into more of a routine with naps once Theo starts camp and he gets a little older.I don't have any advice as to short crib naps other than 'keep trying!' I feel like Owen did a lot more naps on the go... in ergo, stroller, on boppy on couch etc. just because he had to. I was pretty strict with his schedule (still am) but it's hard when they're that young and not sleeping through the night yet. Honestly, much of that time is a blur. Hang in there. You're doing great!!So good to hear Theo is doing well and not having too many jealousy issues. I swear Emmet is more jealous of Owen now than when he was born.... Oh, the phases! All good on our end. Emmet started camp 3 mornings/week, which is good for all of us. We're going to San Diego in August and I'm somewhat terrified.... but excited to see the ocean. We haven't really done any traveling in two years, so here goes!Love to all of you, especially the little littles! More pix pretty please.kathy

Hey ladies -I’ve been meaning to write you guys just about every day since Wylie was born. I've started probably five emails and got interrupted and then never went back!FYI… I am now coming back to this email a day later as I got interrupted AGAIN!Meanwhile, Wylie is now 4.5 weeks old! Things have been good overall… nursing is going really well this time - no issues, no hurting nipples, no weight gain problems! A relief. He was super chill the first two weeks… a little buddha. I was in shock - didn’t even know what to do with myself! Of course - that changed after week 3. Things have been a little more challenging as he’s coming to life. My biggest issue is trying to get him the naps he needs while Theo is home! Wylie is a little comfort monkey and has thus far mostly only taken long naps if he’s on a person. When I put him down in a crib/rock n play/swing/bassinet, I only get about 15 minutes. School is over and camp isn’t starting until after the 4th of July - so Theo has been home full time - wanting my attention of course! It’s been pretty tough.Theo’s been a great big brother - always giving hugs and kisses - no animosity (at least openly) towards Wylie - but some definite acting out with us and testing our limits (to be expected). We had company for the first 4 weeks but that is dying down. It’s REALLY tough being alone w/the both of them! I’m sure I’ll get used to it but for now it’s rather stressful.Yesterday I was thankful for two small triumphs - I took the two of them up to the nature reservation by myself and got Wylie a near 2 hour nap in the stroller while Theo and I ran around outside and got our energy out. Then later I got Wylie a 2.5 hour nap lying on his tummy on a blanket on the couch (thanks Dara) - with a pacifier in his mouth and some nature sounds white noise coming from the ipad. I was finally able to have a good long play session with Theo in the play room while Wylie slept. Woo hoo!I miss you all and wish I could just walk out the door and meet you guys at the park or for lunch! If anyone wants to make a trek out to Jers… our door is always open! How is everyone else doing?Anyway - I’ll send more pics once I get them from Adam… but here are some iphone pics I have right now…xoxo

I am loving all of these delicious photos!! These threads make me so happy... I'm so glad we're all in touch, new babies, new homes and all! So much joy.Maia is definitely better at crib naps than napping on-the-go, so I've tried to arrange playdates for Zoe at home during my day off (which I've moved to Fridays for the summer). Roxy's out with the girls all the time (especially now since school's ended for Zoe), so Maia has no daytime schedule... but she's been a great night sleeper since she was 3 months old, so we have no reason to complain. We had a playdate with a 7 month old recently, who was crawling all over the basement and trying to eat Zoe's princesses. It was a preview of what's to come... I have a feeling things are about to become way more difficult around here, as Maia's rocking and rolling! Zoe loves to collect these teeny tiny toys from the quarter machine at the bodega, and we're training her to hide them away in her dollhouse so that Maia can't get to them.I think I may have invited all of you to my house for a potluck back when Maia was a newborn and (understandably - way too ambitious) dropped the ball. I'd like to throw the invite out there again, maybe for the fall? The big kids can play in the basement while the parents and littles hang out upstairs.Nell - we'd be up for a trip to New Jersey! I've started to use the car more often, and driving is actually quite peaceful from time to time...xoxoMichelle

Congratulations - on the baby Nell and on the move Gabi! They are both such cute names too - love Wylie & Reid!Don't think I have too much nap advice! It is kind of a blur, but was definitely tough until the 2 nap schedule settled in. But... even after lots of disruptions when she was little, GoGo is a really good sleeper now. I think summer is especially tough when you are on the go so much with the older ones, but Fall/Winter will be easier. GoGo always LOVED the swing for her late afternoon naps... it was the only place she would snooze at around 5pm when she was little. The motion seemed to overpower all the chaos around somehow, so if you are home for that stretch of the day maybe that would work for the little guys?Congratulations again! So happy for everyone and hope you are getting some rest :)xx

He's so cute, Nell!! It's fun to see how the babies look like their big siblings.I hope that things are gping well. We are still trying to figure naps out over here. I feel like poor Reid just gets to nap when Maddie's schedule allows…on the go a ton! His crib naps are about 45 mins and I actually prop him up on his side (pillow or towel in front and behind him) during the day and he seems to sleep even better. It's always something, isn't it?! Maybe Wylie might like that?
We have some big news that I've been meaning to share for a while…we are moving out to Westchester in August! I am so sad to be leaving Brooklyn after 9 years, but I'm excited to have some more space, a yard, and to not have to schlep the groceries up three flights of stairs =). We close at the end of July on a house in the tiny town of Edgemont. I'd love to hear any advice from the mamas who have already taken this step. It's going to be such an adjustment! Maddie will be starting at a preschool out there in September (we were lucky that they had one spot open in the threes group!) and I actually signed her up for a Super Soccer Stars class that happens to be right down the road from us. So, good on that front, but I'm totally sad that Maddie won't have any memories of her time in Brooklyn. On a related note, if anyone knows of any friends who might be interested in our apartment, please let me know. I told our landlady we would spread the word. Our apartment is great space but no frills (no dishwasher, washer/dryer). I think most of you have been here - how long ago does that music class with Vered feel like?!Here's a funny picture of Reid getting ready to pick up Maddie at day camp on thursday. =) He's 3 months old already and all cheeks!I hope that everyone had a fun Independence Day weekend! Love!Gabi
