The brooklyn mailing lists are great for discussion but I think it would help if we used a tool such as Launchpad.net Blueprints [1] to capture significant new features in much the same way that other projects exploit this.

For example one of the major new initiatives currently underway is creating a YAML DSL for Brooklyn leveraging the work of OASIS CAMP [2].

This is being discussed on the brooklyn-dev list [3] but I am keen to socialize this and other new features ahead of time so it would be great to be able to point at something more comprehensive like a Launchpad.net blueprint.

WDYT?

To me the key is to get everybody communicating plans for their new features publicly. Once we are doing that it makes sense to consider how those contributions are made, and whether the mailing list is sufficient or blueprints on Launchpad would be better. At the moment I think Launchpad would be another level of indirection.

Whatever is chosen, I would like it to work closely with whatever contains the roadmap and backlog for Brooklyn, otherwise they'll never be in sync.

Speaking of which, has there been any progress on the public roadmap and backlog?
