It's amazing how hard it is to watch the 5K track and 10K track.  Did anyone see the 5K heats on TV?
Personally, I'd like to see more track and non-judged events and yes, less swimming.  Do we really need to see them in the shower? :)

Here's a link that includes 5K heats:  (no announcers, actually it's much better with crowd noise and no announcers.)

Here's some classic photos from 4x400 and 400

The guy diving across the finish in the 400 meters seems a bit much to me:

What if he hurts himself and worse yet injures other runners?

Plus the baton handoff in the 4x400 sure looks like Patton puts the baton in Gay's hand: http://picasaweb.google.com/fedex1/2008OlympicsClassicMoments/photo#5237033255450339858

But of course, Patton takes the blame:

Here's another video of Bolt in slow motion.

Watching the world's fastest man in slow motion is surprising.

It's not as smooth as you might think.  In fact, he bangs his foot right at the start.  His legs and feet are really all over the place.

Anyway it gives us mere mortals some hope. :)
