South Mountain 100K

Join us on May 30th, 2009 for a run through beautiful South Mountain Reservation near Millburn, NJ.  This low-key, minimal-support, informal run will provide a surprising variety of terrrain for trail runners and speed hikers. 
  • The run is located near a train station that is a 40-minute ride from Penn Station in Manhattan.
  • The course includes views of the Manhattan skyline and secluded trails among enormous old trees.
  • Single-wide, double-wide, grass, dirt, rock, level, uphill, downhill, and a small amount of pavement.  You name it and this course has it.
Distance: 100K or 62 miles

When: 6:00 am on May 30th, 2009 .  South Mountain Reservation closes at 10:00 pm. 

Where:  Millburn, NJ (start and finish is across the street from the Millburn Train Station in the Locust Grove parking area) map

Course: 3 loops.  Each 20.7-mile loop includes a north-south loop in the east side of the reservation and north-south loop in the west side of the reservation.   The course is moderately hilly (~ 3,600' of climbing) and includes a variety of single-wide and double-wide trails.  For more details, go to our course details page.
