For anyone that missed the Labor Day: West Indian Day: Brooklyn Parade, see
Labor Day: West Indian Day: Brooklyn
They report that there's millions of people there. I ran the whole thing and I think they're underestimating :)

The side street off Eastern Parkway (Lincoln Pl) was dead quiet. So, I ran that one too. Then, ran through Grand Army through the arch and then down to Red Hook Track to try to test out if I could run a fast mile on the track. The answer was no. :(
But next year we should all get a group to run the unofficial labor day brooklyn marathon.
If nike continues the "Human (stopped at the bridge) Race", on the day before labor day then that could be the warmup for the brooklyn marathon :)
