Hey friends!

Hope your summers have been great! Wanted to let you know about an exciting show coming up on September 9th -- the great Moyseis Marques will be in town all the way from Rio!

Moyseis will be playing an intimate show at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3 -- just him and his guitar, and me accompanying him on percussion. If you don't know him, Moyseis is one of the most influential musicians of his generation -- a leading light of the group of sambistas that came out of the revitalization of Rio's Lapa neighborhood.

Moyseis has received nominations for Best Album and Best Singer in two consecutive years in the National Prize of Brazilian Music and has shared the stage with a "who's who" of Brazilian music, including Chico Buarque, Arlindo Cruz, Paulinho da Viola, Martinho da Vila, Beth Carvalho, Moraes Moreira and Luiz Melodia.

We are super lucky to have him in NY! He will only be playing one show, and the venue is very intimate (just 55 seats and great sound and vibes). Get your tickets early before they sell out!!
