I received a note from Bud Roepkin this morning confirming the passing of Timothy P. McWalters on May 27, 2009 from colon cancer. Bud Roepkin, BP Webmaster, has been a tremendous help and deserves our thanks.
This is the latest update to our class list.  Please contact me so we know that this info is correct.  We would like to hear from everyone during this search. This is the list I am working from. My data is correct, though I'm in Cambridge a lot.

Tim McWalters went to Manhatten College along with Vince (Lipinski) and myself. I didn't really know him at prep but we often had lunch together in the student lounge and he sometimes gave me a ride home. Funny guy. The "Galloping Gourmet" was always on the tube while we ate - and we used to get a kick out of watching it - why I have no idea. But he made my time at Manhatten College a little more pleasant before I dropped out after about six weeks.

My condolences to his family.

Tim McWalter's unfortunate death from colon cancer should serve as a sobering reminder to all of us to get regularly scheduled colonoscopies.  While readily treated if discovered early, it's a terrible disease when not caught in its early stages.
