Hey all!

Level 4 is actually one of the most exciting levels to be. I'm gonna ramble a bit, but I'll knock out the important points up top.

FIRST: Our next game is currently up in the air. Realistically, I see it happening after CJ moves out next month. Thenceforth, we can do most of the games at my apartment... unless that doesn't seem like a central enough location for all. It's nice to be able to avoid lugging my stuff around each week, for me at least.

Here's another possibility: Remote play. You saw Tuesday the app that we could use. That map/unveiling/character thing also includes voice/video chat, dice rolls, and all manner of cool little tools. It's possible to play the game in small groups connected over the airwaves, or completely separately. This might alleviate some timing issues we've run into, and let those of us who aren't getting home until 12:30 most nights enjoy the same leisure as each week's host. Maybe we play only remotely sometimes, or all the time, whatever. Or let's just try it out maybe?

SECOND: Leveling up can happen now or later, depending on your interest. I am going to do some basic work to figure out where your characters stand in terms of wealth, and I'm willing to field questions and such. Maybe I'll write up a little checklist. Jenny and Eric, I'll make sure your online character sheets are up to date, so if you want to edit anything from there, feel free. Remember, there's a lot of fields there that have formulas in them, so don't override them! Look for updates there in the next few days.

THIRD: Trying out other games! This might happen. If there's enough interest in a quick diversion, I'll get something ready.

FOURTH: If you're interested in DMing anything, whether another D&D thing or a new game, let us know. I'm not terribly knowledgeable in anything outside D&D or ORE (Reign, Wild Talents, Godlike). If you have any questions related to those games, I'm a ready and willing resource for you.

That's all!

-Josh

For what it's worth I have basically zero interest in playing online. I get that it might be more convenient but I like seeing everyone and having an excuse to ignore my computer for a few hours.

FIRST: I'm interested in remote every now and then. Getting home at 12:30 wasn't fun... I'd want some of my dice though. Rolling shit is fun!

SECOND: Did them shits on Wednesday yo. How's it look? I got more fire and thought of a cool way to do alignment with it.

THIRD: Eh... I'd be interested in other d20 stuff or other campaign settings. Shadowrun has always looked cool, but I never played. Street Samurais and wutnot.

FOURTH: But we love you Josh! Please be our DM.

All dice rolls would be online only. Otherwise cheating is too tempting!

And I actually had separated the third and fourth items after writing them. I originally meant to say that if you wanted to do a quick stopover game lasting a few sessions to get your feet wet on DMing, feel free to step up. Of course, if you're really into the idea of DMing a larger scale game, feel free to step up for that too. You could even take over the Korvosa game (though me taking on the role of a player would be odd since I know a lot of the secrets already... but I'm good at not meta-gaming!)

In person play is much more preferable imho, thats a lot of what I feel is integral to the D&D experience. That being said, I'm sure it would be nice to have the option to join remotely if your schedule isn't favorable, but I don't think it should be a this-or-that scenario, ideally I would imagine a core group meetup and broadcasting missing links if need be.

Also, with regards to pre-prep and catchup, what sort of character work should I do beforehand? Additionally, is there any summary of the story until now or are we basically at a fresh beginning point?
