HEY.

I'm participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and I won't have much time to divide my attention between that and preparing for a weekly game!

I do, however, still want to play. Max has prepared a game that we could jump into starting next week, I believe. I've only just emailed him with this idea, so he'll have to jump in here once he's available.

If Max is unable for whatever reason, we'll have to do a hiatus thing. Or, someone else entirely could DM.

I've got a pretty solid framework for a fungeon that'll take at least 2 meets (which actually has ties to the Bloodveil story), which I'm sure could snowball into a mini-campaign and easily seguay back into Josh's world when need be. Let me flush out the deets over the next day or so to make the math there and if you guys don't mind a more fast n' loose DM'ing style I'd be happy to take the lead for a bit

I'll bring the Vecna books for Eric too if he wants to try a round or so of leading as well, this'll be a riot haha!

Also, if you're going to tie into the existing story, we should coordinate loosely.

What does your fungeon need for setup? I think I can get you guys out of where you are pretty quickly, and I can tell you what to put at the end of your dungeon to point the story back on track... or I can just pick up from the end of yours with a deus ex machina that puts them on track.

Oh, and everyone, regarding wealth. Your total wealth should equal about 10,500 gold. This is the cost of your armor, equipment, and magic items, plus whatever gold you have on hand. Depending on what you've purchased or gained through the game already, you may have a lot or very little gold on hand.

This spell causes a brushy beard of stiff iron to erupt from the face of a willing target. The ironbeard grants a +1 armor bonus to AC, and this bonus stacks with any armor worn by the creature. The ironbeard may also be used as a weapon equivalent to cold iron armor spikes. The ironbeard makes it difficult to speak, so any spellcasting with a verbal component has a 20% spell failure chance.

Humans should have 4 feats at 5th level, everyone else has 3. (Monk gets an extra one, too).

If you're trying to figure out what feat to get, google "pathfinder ranger build" or whatever and find what other people chose. That should narrow it down, at least.

I can't find on the site where it says we get feats. Is it not stated anywhere which levels you get feats? Is it just dependent on race and class just gives bonus feats?

There's two charts to pay attention to when you level (three if you have archetype). One's on the character advancement page, the other's the class page (and then the archetype page).

Character advancement chart shows you get a feat at 1st, 3rd, and 5th (next is 7th). Humans start with a bonus feat. Monks and fighters get feats from their class descriptions

I realized that i messed up on my feat choice. Can I not use the feat i picked and just choose 3? Now I wish I picked half-orc as race, but I realize it'd be too much to change that now.

Your character could die suddenly, and his identical half-orc brother who he grew up with and is exactly the same in many ways could step in.

Re-picking feats should carry some penalty. In the past, I've worked with DMs to change feats on my character where I took a negative level for the duration of the current level. This reflected a time spent retraining myself to use the new abilities. I also didn't have access to any of the new feats until I leveled.

That could work here.

Nah, I'll be kind. You guys are all new/returning to this, and figuring out how feats work is part of the process. You can all change any feats you want from now until the end of this level. After that, you're stuck.

hey all,

I'm not going to be able to make it to night, sorry for the dick move the day of. Today is my friend steven's bday and like a good frind i only learned that this morning from facebook, so now his invite to a bar yesterday actually makes sense. Sorry for any inconvenience and i apologize, i swear im not intending to miss this much. I especially apologize to goran...cuz i kinda led him on with my girlish charms last night.

Charlie and I had a chat!

He's well aware he's been missing a lot, and we're hoping that he'll be able to attend more frequently in the near future. However, given the amount of missed time, both planned and unexpected, we're going to adjust/retcon his character a bit to reflect his frequent absence.

In fact, Q'othor has not been in drunken fugue states, and you're seeing him in your company doing nothing was mere hallucination, you crazy plague rats. Q'othor, from the beginning of the plague, has been following his own leads, and has had intermittent interaction with the party through their adventures. His solo adventure will eventually interwine with your own again soon.

Also, we've been operating under the assumption that if 2 or more people are missing from a session, we should cancel. This will no longer be the case. As long as we have 3 people playing, we'll go for it.

Tonight will apparently be at my apartment, which is (fortunately for me), a more central location, right? I'm up for anywhere, though.

Also I can't take responsibility for food tonight - would anyone like to collect orders?
