Subject: A Celebration for our Crossing Guard Claire MacPherson in Linden Park, next Wednesday, June 14th, at 2:30 p.m.
To: Mariah Nobrega <mariah....@gmail.com>

Please join the many friends and admirers of our wonderful crossing guard, Claire, who has been keeping our children safe and loved for 30 years, at a party honoring her in Linden Park next Wednesday, June 14th, right after school lets out at 2:30. You can either join us at the park at 2:20 p.m, or be part of the group gathering at Pierce Circle at 2:30 p.m., heading down the hill, gathering up Claire, and escorting her to the park for the festivities.

There will be much warmth, joy, and happiness as we celebrate Claire with her own plaque on a bench in the park, not to mention a sheet case and cupcakes from Party Favors, other snacks, a brief appreciation from Jamie Yadoff, Pierce Principal, and of course, lots of hugs with Claire.

Like Hank, another Pierce School crossing guard, last year, Claire has just won the "Mass DOT Crossing Guard Champion Award," (only six were awarded throughout Massachusetts!). She received this award yesterday at the Massachusetts State House. It was a great deal of fun, and she was escorted by members of the Brookline Police Department, her two sons, and other friends and admirers.

The party in Linden Park is our chance to honor her in our own neighborhood. Please join us!

Ginnie

Virginia Smith, TMM-6 and Head of Friends of Linden Park

P.S. This will be a SURPRISE, so please don't say anything to Claire.
