Ladies & Parents,

The beginning of fall practices started today Monday, August 2nd. If you need a refresher, these practices are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6-8 am, Monday from 7-8 pm and Thursday 5-6 pm. These practices are very important to come to because they will get us all ready for the fall season so everyone should be making them. When you come to these practices we expect you to be fully prepared. This means that you should bring a pair of tennis shoes to the morning practices along with your cleats and anything else you may need (bug spray, water, etc.).

We understand that some people have complications with practice times with work or vacations and that is completely understandable. An example of what is not acceptable though is if you start work at 9 am and feel that you cannot make it to morning practice because of that, because you should be able to. If you have problems with finding a ride that early, please do not hesitate to ask another player. Kelly Brusky has told me that she is willing to pick up anyone as long as it gets them to practice, and I'm pretty sure everyone else feels the same way.

To go along with all of this, tomorrow morning after practice (Tuesday, August 3rd) we will be going out to breakfast at George Webbs on North Ave. Players can be picked up there but do not need a ride there because other players can drive them. We have done these types of get togethers before and they work out great because we all get to bond, have fun, and eat yummy food. So be prepared for that and bring some money if you plan on buying food. Otherwise you can just come and hang out with us. Most of us are good people :)

Thanks,
Kaisee Wiesmueller

Kaisee-
Alicia is out of town until Aug. 13--she is working at a camp up north. She won't be at practices until the week of Aug. 16.

I am a bit confused.... are there forms and signup sheets we should be getting for the new season?    Are there waivers we need?  Is there a fee? Who is the coach?  Will there be a schedule for the games?

Could someone re-inform me on the logistics please?
thanks

Just a hint to newer parents---

Reminder this is a Cub sport, not an official school sport.  So while I do remember a waiver being necessary and a fee, you won’t see all the paperwork that you see for the school sports.

Coach/Captains: When you send out the next “Welcome to the Fall Season” message, pls send info on the email group.  I’ve forgotten the password, and we need to add an e-mail to the distribution list.  So pls give us those instructions in one of your forthcoming posts.

Thanks!

Just a clueless parent--

Everyone,

Thank you Mrs. Van Lare for letting me know. Alicia has already informed me, as have many other players on being out of town. I really appreciate it and it helps to know that information. So thanks again.

As stated before, there is not that much paperwork for being in rugby. There are a few forms but we were/ are never fully on top of that but I expect those to be coming out soon since they will be needed to play games. Our new coach is Benny McCann and there is a letter from him on the blog. To see it, just go to www.brookfieldbruisers.blogspot.com. Another one of our coaches is Adam Kreutter. I'm pretty sure, even though they are busy, they would be happy to meet with any of the parents and answer any other questions you may have that I cannot answer, even though I am doing my best :). For games, from just what I know, Austin sent out a copy earlier this summer and that may or may not be finalized. But I'm sure we'll be seeing the schedule soon enough.
As for the email group, I do not know anything about that. Sorry but I'm sure someone does and would be willing to help. Keep any questions coming and I'll do my best to answer them so things go as smooth as possible.

Thank you,
Kaisee Wiesmueller
