Ladies and Parents,

I just want to start out this email by saying thank you to those players that have been making it to every practice so far. It's much appreciated and your actions are being noticed. This brings me to the next point, that we have been having practice since the beginning of August and we are still missing about half our numbers. These practices are mandatory if you wish to have playing time. It's really important to get out and practice with us to get in shape and learn whatever we have to go over as a team so that we are ready when the season starts. Our first tournament, the highland games, are next weekend and we need everyone we can get, but only if you have been coming to practice. Because we have completely new coaches, they do not know what anyone is capable of unless you have again, been coming to practice. We would really like to field an A side and a B side but at this point we only have enough for an A side. We are coming back from getting 4th at nationals and we need to prove that we can get back there again and win with as big a team as possible. Practices are, for the rest of August, as follows...

Thursday, August 19th: 6-8 am and 5-6 pm
Friday, August 20th: 6-8 am
August 23rd- 27th: Two-A-Days. 6-8 am practice AND 6:30- 8:30 pm for the whole week.

If you have any problems with rides, please contact me or anyone else to try to find you a ride. We have a ton of people that would be willing to go out of their way to bring people to practice.

Thanks,
Kaisee

I know I would be happy to help anyone else get to practice.... just call or text me.

Additionally, players should try to recruit others for our team! We're down quite a few players and in order to field two complete sides we definitely need some fresh meat.. Pleae please please come to all the practices you can- next week will be really important for attendance so dont slack off!!

Also, as some of you know, myself and six other players went for a run today ( on our day off no less!) at the practice field. I think this is something we should continue to do in order to go the extra mile (no pun intended) to be in shape for the season. For me at least, running with the team makes me work harder and run faster. Once school starts, we can possibly arrange meets to run after school on non practice days... if you all are interested.

Thanks,
Becca (not baby becca)
