Ifyou look at that HackaDay article, it says he created Mouser.exe after viewing a presentation from a guy at Google. Google's known for its use of linux, right? One of the links from your HackaDay article took me here: here is a demo of keynav in action

another way is using ctrl-shift-numlock that is supposed to be the key combo that will let you move the cursor with the keyboard. But, I can't very sure that it works, since my laptop doesn't have a dedicated numlock key. you can control the mouse from keyboard. Keys / and * on the numpad select left mouse click and right mouse click respectively. Mouse click is done by 5 on the numpad.

With Mouse Keys on your Mac, you can move the mouse pointer and press the mouse button using the keyboard or a numeric keypad. To use Mouse Keys, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Accessibility in the sidebar, click Pointer Control on the right, then turn on Mouse Keys. (You may need to scroll down.)

I find it aggravating that you cannot give mouse and keyboard control to anyone that does not have the GoTo app installed on their computer and has to use the browser. We work with many clients in many industries and rarely are they GoTo customers so, this fucntionality is often not available to us with undermines the potential power of collaboration. I was told by your tech support that this has always been the case--I call BS. We have been an early adopter of GoToMeeting all the way back to when it was it's own company. And I know that this was not always the case.

From our perspective: We have committed to using this product for our video meetings yet because it does not have this very important collaboration tool for the browser user we are now forced to rethink our choice for video conferencing. When we have to ask our clients to install software on their machines to maximize our interactions. This puts us at a dis-advantage.

From your perspective: We are consultants with a wide variety of clients and there exists opportunity there for you (GoTo Provider) to gain free marketing and advertising every time we introduce one of our clients to your product. However, when they are limited by arbitrary feature limitations it undermines that experience and spoils your brand to potential customers. The result usually is: "lets just use Teams" or "lets just use Zoom". ...and you've lost a potential customer.

Originally the web app was introduced to support attendees in locked-down environments and those that did not want to install software to attend a meeting, but being browser-based it had some limitations. Chrome has improved a lot since then, so I am checking with our team to see if granting remote access from the web app is on the current roadmap.

Note: In order to give remote control you have to be on the desktop app and actively sharing your screen. To receive remote control access you have to be on either the desktop app or web.

Is there a way that the presenter can ask for mouse/keyboard control like in join.me. The advantage of that is that the presenter can just request it instead of having to instruct the attendee to grant control.

The problem is that when you send a link to a client, or they join from a meeting with that link, what GoTo is pushing as the downloader is the older GoToMeeting installer (orange icon w/ white asterisk).

GoTo support says that they are still working on the program - I mean, sure, but I know I've been dealing with this control mouse/keyboard issue for at least 6 months and they need to stop including the wrong installers which is what I think has turned all of my meetings into an apology session for this program that can't work properly.

Just seeing if anyone can point me to the right direction. My GoToMeeting updated to a new user interface (which I think is now "GoTo") and I cant find the ability to request keyboard and mouse control when viewing someone's screen. We typically connect with clients for support purposes and previously we would be able to click on their name and request control. A pop up would appear on their screen to give control and we would proceed to be able to move their mouse and type. Now that option is not there.

We do see that a client can click on your name to give control, however not all clients are tech savvy in being able to find the "give control option" and when instructing during the meeting on how to give control, it can be a mission. Just seeing if the setting to request control is still there?

Currently, the GoTo App does not have the ability to request keyboard and mouse control, however, it is planned for a future update. For now, the attendee has to grant you control (as you've seen). If you wish you can switch back to using the Classic GoToMeeting until this feature is available.

I want to switch back to GoToMeeting classic. However, the instructions above don't seem to work for me. After clicking the "Settings" icon, I do not see a "GoToApp" setting with a "Use the new GoTo" option.

I can advise you PyAutoGUI, it allows to full control Mouse and Keyboard and get Screenshots and even you can locate images within the screen (like: where is the button?), very useful to automate clicks dynamically. It works for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

It allows controlling mouse and keyboard, taking screenshots, and finding small bitmaps on larger bitmaps and should be very convenient if you want to automate some gui application you have no control on.

Transitioning from working in-person with your team to being fully remote has been frustrating for many of us. There are just some aspects of collaborating in real life that feel too difficult to replicate over video calls. Luckily, there are plenty of virtual tools that you can add to your kit to make this transition a bit smoother.

2. Go ahead and click on the green Share Screen button, and select from the options of what you would like to share. For this demonstration I will be selecting my internet browser to share.

In small group meetings, you might want to be able to enable multiple users to share windows at the same time, side-by-side from each other, and to interact with them remotely using mouse and keyboard without having to go through the above flow every single time.

I read some poeple say its overlays with things like NZXT, I disabled all of those, even tried closing it, turned off steam overlays, I tried running the game as Administrator. I tried full screen and windowed mode. I have tried uninstalling and disconnecting my flight yoke and rudders. I have changed my keyboard and mouse USB ports. I have restarted multiple times.

Since the Australia update I have had same issues. Especially in VR mode. I have to move the mouse around vigorously to allow it to come alive and it works again but only for a little while. Doing this also enables the keyboard to work. I am also frustrated by it as I use the keyboard to contact ATC and almost every time I need to shake the mouse around to allow my keyboard commands to be acknowledged. It would be good to have this issue fixed. Asobo ignored this bug with the latest update

Also, I don't need high performance, I just want to be able to control the server in case it doesn't boot by some reason or in case I need to change some BIOS setting and I don't want to be carrying a monitor and keyboard around with me.

Only the Raspberry Pi Zero , Zero W , Model A and Compute Module can act as USB device. Other models can not act as USB device. This is a hardware limitation which cannot be worked around in software.

Since the Pi already has a camera input, you probably get a better picture with something inputting video to the camera head. There are several boards on Ali express that do that (search HDMI to CSI-2, if you really need VGA, you could use a VGA to HDMI adapter). There are multiple examples out there on how to incorporate a the camera input on a website. Among others the OctoPi software does that so you can remotely view your 3D printer working.

I am also looking to control a windows 10 computer with a raspberry pi4, as a mouse and keyboard. I already have the power thing handled, with a usb power blocking but data through connector. I am just looking for the code to do this.

I'm running the most recent install of TV on two devices both running the most recent version of Mac OS X Mojave Beta. After install and logging in, I set all permission to "Full Access" to be able to remotely control either of the devices, and both are set to have unnattended access as well.

When trying to run and contro the other computer, I am able to see the others Mac desktop screen, but cannot control anything at all, only see the screen. This is the same on both computers, neither being able to control one another.

I am still not having any success controlling through remote setup. I can see the screen, but cannot control the mouse or keyboard. I am going from a MacBook running Mojave to an iMac running Mojave (both 10.14). All articles tell me to the same things I am already doing, but no luck yet. I have checked the TeamViewer and TeamViewer Desktop full access under the Accessibility tab in Security & Privacy. I have checked both boxes for Unattended Access in the TeamViewer app itself. It should have full control based on everything I have read. Any further steps I can try? Or should I do a reinstall of TeamViewer on my iMac?

Hello, did you manage to find a fix for this? We have run into this issue with MAC OS Mojave trying to connect to Catalina from both TeamViewer 14.7 and TeamViewer 15. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Permissions were already set correctly but not working. I set all permission off. Then i tested a new teamv. connection and i received on the machine the request to grant access for files, keyb and mouse. I followed the request and gave again permissions, and it worked. Probably some jam in the permissions that was cleaned with that trick.
