Happeningwith me as well; with daily frequency, multiple times a day. Very little chance there is actually something wrong with my SIM or hardware. No drops/cracks issues with my phone. Usually rebooting fixes it for a little while only. Occasionally, turning on Airplane mode for 1 min then turning off can fix it, too. Very frustrating.

Once the user gets a new SIM card or switches over to an e-sim instead, it fixes the problem. Many people have had temporary fixes with removing, re-inserting the SIM card or turning off/on airplane mode, but then it continues to happen on and off until the network seems to completely stop working on their phone.

MY SOLUTION : tired of waiting with no phone communications I decided to try a trick to fix communications with the sim. I removed the sim tray and placed a piece of electric tape on the non contacts side of it to increase the pressure over the contacts when inserted. IT WORKED RIGHT AWAY.

Earlier today, I did finally take out my SIM tray, inspected the card. As I expected, the card was completely fine, nothing visibly wrong. I put the SIM tray back into the phone, rebooted, and have not received the message in over 3 hours now. Fingers crossed.

Not helpful or relevant, but I would have taken her name and ID number and then submitted a claim. Yes, it could be apple's fault or it might actually be Verizon's, but it isn't your fault you don't know how to fix it. Laughing at the problem shows they hired a bad representative and that person obviously shouldn't be answering phones.

I am currently experiencing this. My carrier told me that now have to find time to go to their store and pay for a new sim as this is "not their fault". she actually laughed at me when i questioned why i not only have to find time to come in there for her to fix something that is not my fault, but also pay for this? She then laughed and told me it wasnt Verizon's fault either and if she wants me to fix it I will have to pay. I let her know that it sounds like i have no other choice at this point and hung up. GRR.

For Missing Accessory/Missing Resource issues (missing Megaphone, missing Cauldron spoon, missing Charles the Chicken, big white boxes when using premium content etc.), see: Premium Content: Missing Accessories

Back before there was Premium Content, it was perfectly safe to delete everything in the DCBackup folder without care. This folder merely stores a package format back up of all content you install via the launcher. Keeping this folder empty means you will clear up some extra hard drive space (which is probably only important for people with SSDs). As far as I know, it also means your custom content will not be packaged with your lots and sims, though I have never personally confirmed this.

If you arehaving a Missing Resource/Missing Accessory issue (missing Megaphone, missing Cauldron spoon, missing Charles the Chicken, big white boxes when using premium content, etc.), see: Premium Content: Missing Accessories

You can achieve the same results by uninstalling the your premium content through the launcher and then re-installing. However, I personally think using a clean Sims 3 Folder is easiest. The launcher is very clunky to use, and if you have many objects installed via the launcher, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to properly uninstall all premium content objects through the launcher. Simply re-creating the ccmerged.package by using a factory reset and re-installing the objects is a very quick, safe and easy way to get a working ccmerged.package, especially if you back up your downloads.

As long as you do not delete the ccmerged.package, you will be fine. You can install as many new Premium Content Items as you wish, and you should not encounter any problems with your content. The Launcher will merge any new information into your ccmerged.package on its own and you will not have to re-install all your premium content whenever you get something new

If something goes wrong for some unexpected reason, you may need to repeat this process again. If you had to put your ccmerged.package in your mods folder, you will need to replace that file with the new one when you install new content.

This ccmerged.package contains all data for all premium content. Even if you do not own all premium content, you can safely use this package in your own game. It will not cause problems with your game at all. Please see What is the ccmerged? for more information about why you can use this ccmerged.

thanks so much for this explanations, but when i deleted it, i just restored it from recycle bin and it was in DCBackup folder again, but will it work as same as if i did what u said? thanks anyway. ?

Hi Mya. It depends on whether your ccmerged.package was complete when you deleted it. If you have never before deleted anything in your DCBackup, it was most likely complete, so restoring from your recycle bin is safe. However, if you have problems with your premium content objects, you might want to follow the steps I outlined in the post.

The 2 most important moments of my life so far were being born and the second is discovering your writings. I work in the startup investor industry. You should be thanked more often. I am on the same side as you. You look at this from far more than one angle.

A summary of the instructions:

1. Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

2. Click the blue Download button on the link I provided above.

3. Extract the FrameworkSetup.zip which you just downloaded to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

4. test the folder by starting your game. If you did everything right you will not the EA intro video. You will jump straight to the loading screen,

The next time you start your game, after it loads, go back to your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 folder, and you will see the scriptcache.package. It is not necessary to delete this package all the time, but you should delete it when you add or remove new mods.

So, no, I will not update the ccmerged.package for University Life, because it is not necessary. However, if there is a new premium content item in the store today I will update when I can, if it is necessary.

Hey, i tried all 3 options and my chickens in the coop are still invisible and my sims reset when trying to use the lemonade stand! Now i have no idea what to do. I run my game from the new Sims 3 folder before reverting back to the old one and the problem still remained. I only installed the Country Livin set in the new folder to be certain that no other files were causing a problem.

Case 1: This is your case if you did not decrapify the object. The easiest way to fix this is to simply re-install the sims3pack without uninstalling it first. Sometimes it takes several tries for this to work. I mean it. It could takes 3-4 back-to-back reinstalls before the Launcher finally properly installs the chicken accessories.

If you have installed your premium content as package files, then put a copy of the ccmerged.package in the Overrides folder (or any folder that has a higher priority than Mods\Packages). Make sure you keep the ccmerged.package updated in both places if you get new Premium Content.

Yes, all you need to do is copy the new ccmerged.package to the Overrides folder. Just make sure you only have ONE copy of it in your Overrides folder: 1 ccmerged.package in DCBackup and 1 ccmerged.package in Overrides.

If you are creating a brand new ccmerged, which is what this post is about, yes, you must install all premium content with custom moodlets/skill/plants/ingredients/recipes. There is no way around this.

You can know when I update the ccmerged in a couple of different ways: 1. bookmark the download page and check it when a new object comes out. Usually I can get the ccmerged.package updated within a day of a release but this is not always the case. or 2. Sign up to get e-mails when I update my Mod Index at my wiki.

Or: 1. Make a clean sims 3 folder by re-naming your The Sims 3 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts to The Sims 3.old.

2. Start The Sims 3 Launcher.

3. Install the multi tab.

4. Start the game and test the multi tab. does it work? if yes, something in your Old The Sims 3 folder is causing your multi tab not to work properly.

I hope your studies are going well. It is hard work, but as we have discussed before, it is very rewarding in the end.

Ok, I have 2 questions for when you have some time, please.

1. Did I understand correctly? After reading this post, I understand that, with exception of the ccmerged.package file in the DCBACKUP folder, ALL ELSE can be safely deleted from that folder. Is this correct? I am trying to free as much HD space as possible, so deleting the contents of that file, minus the ccmerged.package file would be helpful. Please, confirm if deleting all else is fine.

2. What should go into an OVERRIDES folder? BTW, I could not follow your link to the tutorial about making an overrides folder. I am not sure but I think the link is broken.

You might want to check if your computer is actually compatible with the games spec requirements. Another thing I do is clean out my folders. Here is a link I found about how to clean out your sim files. I actually do this right before I play and I have never had crashing issues. Link: =Game_Help:Sims_3_Delete_Cache_Files

Thank you very much for your reply. My tree is certainly not a pirated version and I have read on many sites how others are having the same problem. I will check out your link right now. Thanks again!

Thank you for your suggestions! ? I ended up sifting through each and every premium content item in my game. (Took almost all day) It turns out it was the sizzle baby deep fryer and the Icecream machine package files that were making my Wood oven and tepanyaki grill not work. In case anyone else has that problem! Everything else works fine. ?

Sorry, I did not have enough time to read through your comment all the way the last time. Because you are using package files, you need to put a copy of the ccmerged in your overrides folder. Then you will get all your moodlets and your content to work. Just remember, you must always update both the ccmerged in DCBackup and the Overrides folder.
