A very unique invite only DJ battle series is going down in NYC on
August 3rd and August 10th as part of the Brooklyn Soul Summit Music
Festival. The Behringer Just Listen DJ Battle presented by 2mybeat.com
and Tools of War will run from 3pm-4pm at Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn
NYC. The events are free and all ages are welcome. Since we were rained
out last week, all of the DJs who accepted our invite will battle this
Sunday on Aug. 3rd in two rounds of semi finals. The first round will
feature: DJ Complex, DJ EmmAre, DJ Flawless and DJ Esquire. The second
round will include: DJ Boogie Blind, DJ Fat Fingaz, DJ Solo and DJ Supreme.
Competitors will showcase for 5 minutes each, turntablist style and in
some creative way, incorporate House music into their routines. The
champions from each semi finals will battle on Aug. 10th in The
Behringer Just Listen DJ Battle Finals, showcasing, selecting and
partyrocking for 30 minutes each. Judges of all the battles include
GrandWizzard Theodore: inventor of the scratch; DJ Steve Dee: inventor
of beat juggling; DJ Johnny Juice Rosado of Public Enemy. GrandMaster
Caz of the Cold Crush Brothers will host the battle this Sunday, Aug. 3.
The finals on Aug. 10 will be hosted by none other than DJ Tony Touch!
DJs will battle on Technics 1200 turntables and the Behringer DDM-4000
mixer and will be allowed to use such programs as Scratch LIVE,
Tracktor, etc. All DJs, judges and hosts will receive the entire West
End Records catalog digitized! Prizes for the winners of the semi final
battles include: $250 cash and Behringer HPX4000 headphones.
On Aug. 10, the champion of The Behringer Just Listen DJ Battle Finals
will walk away with: $500 cash and loads of gear from Behringer,
including their DDM 4000 mixer, B412DSP active speaker system, BX1800
Subs, EPS2500 power amp and will be offered a Behringer Platinum Level
Endorsement Contract!

Portland Ave and Myrtle Ave. Brooklyn. Enter the park near Dekalb and
Washington Ave.
