Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (English: Blue Sky, Green Sea, Red Earth) is a 2013 Malayalam road movie directed by Sameer Thahir and written by Hashir Mohamed. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Wayne and Surja Bala Hijam in the lead roles. The film follows the journey of two friends Kasi and Suni, who travel from Kerala to Nagaland on their motorcycles, facing various challenges and adventures along the way.
Plot
Kasi (Dulquer Salmaan) is a rebellious engineering student who is dissatisfied with his life. He decides to go on a road trip with his best friend Suni (Sunny Wayne) to Nagaland, where his girlfriend Assi (Surja Bala Hijam), a Manipuri student, lives. Assi had left Kerala after her father's death and Kasi wants to reunite with her. Suni agrees to accompany Kasi, despite his family's objections.
The duo set off on their Royal Enfield motorcycles, crossing various states of India. They encounter many people and situations on their way, such as a friendly truck driver, a group of Naxalites, a band of bikers, a helpful mechanic, a hostile policeman, and a violent mob. They also witness the beauty and diversity of the Indian landscape, culture and people.
As they reach Nagaland, they find out that Assi is getting married to someone else. Kasi is heartbroken and decides to return to Kerala. Suni tries to console him and persuades him to attend Assi's wedding. Kasi reluctantly agrees and meets Assi at her home. He realizes that she still loves him but has no choice but to marry someone else due to her family's pressure. He bids her farewell and leaves with Suni.
On their way back, they are stopped by a group of militants who demand money and their bikes. Kasi refuses to give up his bike and fights with them. He is shot in the chest and falls down. Suni rushes to his aid and tries to revive him. The film ends with a shot of Kasi's bike lying on the road, implying that he died.
