For as long as socially and politically aware citizens have gathered to voice dissent, music has served a paramount role; the women's suffrage movement proves no exception. From local community suffrage meetings, to large-scale city-wide marches, to prison cells -- suffragists consistently unified, rallied, and asserted their unbreakable spirit in song.

The Harmony Hall (formerly called the Music Shop) is a building introduced in Season of Performance that specializes in music and musical Instruments. Nearly every Instrument in the game is available in Harmony Hall, so you can try playing them regardless of whether or not you have acquired them. A Music Challenge, song demonstration, and jam session help you perfect a weekly featured Music Sheet. Four new Instruments can be purchased, as can five new Music Sheets and some Spells.

Harmony Hall is a two-story building with two possible entrances, both of which lead to the building's first floor. The front entrance is in Village of Dreams, in a building near the skating statue. All players who can access Village of Dreams can enter via the front entrance. The back entrance is via a passage between two buildings in the Village Theater, but it is only available to players who have completed the fourth quest of Season of Performance.

All of the Ancestors from Season of Performance are found wandering in Harmony Hall. They are present and visible even if you have never been to Village Theater before or done any of the Season of Performance quests (the quests only affect whether you can use the back entrance). However, none of the usual Spirits or Season Guide interactions are possible here. (Meaning: it is not possible to relive their memories nor access their Friendship Trees in Harmony Hall. Regular interaction with those Spirits is only possible in the Village Theater.)

Both entrances are at the same end of the first floor, on either side of a Prop Outfit Shrine: Village of Dreams is through the tall, grated panel; Village Theater is in the corner behind the stairs (only available if the fourth quest of Season of Performance is done). The entrances are at one end of a large central area; the Front Counter is at the other end. On the right side of the central area are the stairs leading to the second floor. The left side has a workshop area near the entrance and an alcove filled with Music Sheets past the front counter. Various demonstration musical Instruments fill the walls throughout the entire first floor.

The large table at the far end of the central area, named the Front Counter, has a violin sitting on it. This violin cannot be played; clicking on it accesses the in-app purchase Instruments. A scroll sitting at the other end of table is a mini Spell Shop.

A decorative panel hangs on the wall behind the front counter, showcasing five Instruments. These five Instruments are purely decorative (you cannot interact with them or play with them). The Instruments seen here are, from left to right, the Guitar, the Electric Guitar, the Triumph Handpan, a variant of the Bugle, and a variant of the Prophecy Drum. The last two are similar in shape to past Season Ultimate Gifts, but are colored/decorated differently.

The Forgetful Storyteller is sitting to the right of the front counter, under the stairs, where they act as the Music Hall Guide. The other four Ancestors from the Season of Performance are also found in Harmony Hall. The Performance Guide and the Frantic Stagehand wander throughout the entire building, acting out various Expressions and occasionally offering jam sessions. The Modest Dancer is generally in the workshop area. The Mellow Musician is always upstairs offering to demonstrate the weekly featured Music Sheet.

In the back left corner past the front counter there is a lectern with a music note icon. This is where you can do the Music Challenge. The walls of this area display many Music Sheets. Although you can move the curtains to reveal more, there is no other way to interact with any of these Music Sheets.

In the back right corner past the front counter there is a door leading to the Rehearsal Room. You can practice playing your equipped Instrument in a private setting without hearing sounds from other players.

The Mellow Musician is standing in the middle of the second floor balcony, with a music note icon that activates the song demonstration. Past the Mellow Musician in the right corner there is a bouquet and guitar sitting near some stools. This is where the jam session with the Performance Guide and Frantic Stagehand is periodically available.

In the center of the second floor, in the double height area, there are three large balls swinging in a Newton's cradle pendulum; their regular rhythmic movement acts like a metronome. On the far wall there is a mural with a stylized representation of Village Theater. A side room near the top of the stairs leads to a painting workshop where the theater backdrops are being touched up.

A music making machine can be found at the end of the long hallway near the stairs. Walls of the hallway are adorned by work in progress backdrops for the Village Theater made by Frantic Stagehand. The machine can be used to create short musical bits with four separate instrument tracks for the piano, bass, drums and flute accordingly. The notes are arranged vertically and the player can select which notes to play for each row. The total number of rows that can be programmed for each track is 16, the pitch range of instruments is only one octave, and the tempo of playback is fixed.

Working copies of most of the game's instruments are located in Harmony Hall. The only missing instruments are the Ultimate Gifts (Bugle, Prophecy Drum, and Sanctuary Handpan); the Nintendo-exclusive Vessel Flute; and the Harmony Hall instruments (Fledgling Harp, Rhythm Guitar, Triumph Handpan, Triumph Violin).

You can pick up any Instrument and play it. When you return the Instrument to the wall, you are told where the Spirit who sells the Instrument is located (although the game does not inform you whether the Spirit is a Regular Spirit or a Seasonal Spirit).

In the far right corner there is a door leading to the Rehearsal Room, also known as the Practice Room. Pulling the lever at the back of the room upright will put a music note button on top of your avatar when you are inside the room, allowing you to "Enjoy music practice by yourself" when you select it. You can only practice with the Instrument you have equipped, not with the demonstration Instruments found in the Hall. During practice, other players cannot be seen in the room. There will be no sounds from other players, and other players can't hear your playing. However, any other sound will still be audible, including ambient noises and in-game alerts, so muting the sound effects is advised.

Each week a set of three specific parts of different Music Sheets is featured in Harmony Hall. Each Music Sheet part is used for one of the music performances in the Hall: Music Challenge, Song Demonstration, and Jam Session. The featured Music Sheets change at reset 11:59 pm Sunday night; each set of sheets is featured from Monday to Sunday. Currently only 5 possible sets of Music Sheet parts can be featured, in rotation. In the tables below, the currently featured Music Sheet parts is labelled in the "ID" column.

A exclamation mark button in the far left corner of the first floor activates the Music Challenge. The challenge requires you to play the current week's featured Music Sheet part. The Instrument you must use is predetermined. If you play the sheet accurately enough you will be rewarded with up to 100 Pieces of Light per day.

The quantity of Light is awarded in two halves. 50 Pieces of Light are awarded for a moderate level of accuracy, which appear as a cluster of light floating near the floor. Another 50 Pieces of Light are awarded if a higher level of accuracy is achieved, appearing as a cluster higher up in the air. You can repeat the challenge as many times as you like per day, but you will only receive each Light reward once per day.

On the second floor, the Mellow Musician can be found standing on a stage. Interacting with the Spirit gives the player a chance to "Play along while the Spirit demonstrates a song". The player and the Spirit use the same Instrument and by default play the current week's featured Music Sheet. A different Music Sheet can be selected at any time. Once you have finished playing, you can hug the Mellow Musician (no matter how well or poorly you played); after the hug, you are able to request another demonstration. No reward is given for that task.

A flower bouquet laying near some stools in the corner of the second floor (past the Mellow Musician; before the mural) is where you can play in a Jam Session with the Performance Guide and the Frantic Stagehand. This activity is only possible when the Ancestors are standing in front of the bouquet, which first happens 8.5 minutes after the player arrives in Harmony Hall. They stand there for 3.5 minutes then repeat their 18.5 minute-long cycle of walking through the Hall, before returning again to the bouquet.

When selecting the music note icon you are asked "Do you want to jam together?". By default, the player plays the current week's featured Music Sheet part, while the Spirits play two other parts from the same Music Sheet. The player may instead choose a different Music Sheet (any purchased one) to play at anytime. The music session continues either until a Music Sheet has been played through to the very end, or until the player closes the music screen.

The Instruments can be purchased by clicking the icon over the violin found on the large table at the end of the first floor. Spell versions of each Instrument are available for a limited time, allowing you to try out the Instruments. Also, if the three White Candles near the Harmony Hall entrance are lit up, a Triumph Saxophone appears and can be played the same way as all the other Instruments on display in the hall.
