to BROKE, BROKE allies
Dear BROKE folk & allies,

This is an invitation to join Decolonial Solidarity folks every Saturday at Gregor Robertson’s office in Vancouver, to pressure the Liberal Government to back out of investing in PRGT Pipeline and Ksi Lisims projects and not fund them through the Canada Infrastructure Bank. Details are below. If anyone is interested in going some Saturday, please ‘reply all’ so we can coordinate and go together.

Thanks,
Ruth

Hi Ruth,

Thanks for getting back to me. I understand if none of you member are constituents in his riding, although if any BROKE members are interested, we would absolutely love to have them join us for our canvassing blitzes. We usually meet Saturdays (including tomorrow) at 1pm at Robertson's office (6406 Victoria Dr.) I'd appreciate it if you'd pass on the open invitation to all your members! We may change the day or meeting place in the future, so if anyone wants to join in the future I'd suggest they email us (decolonials...@gmail.com) to join our mailing list.

Thank you!

Marcus

Dear Marcus,

Thanks for reaching out to us here at BROKE. We discussed this at our meeting tonight. We are fully in support of your campaign to stop the PRGT Pipeline and Ksi Lisims, but as none of us are currently living in, nor have experience organizing in Gregor Robertson's riding, we don’t have much to contribute to the effort at this time.

Best wishes,
Ruth, on behalf of BROKE

Hello BROKE,

I am a lead organizer with Decolonial Solidarity, a national grassroots settler-run organization that exists to heed the call from traditional Indigenous leadership in northern so-called "BC" to stop colonial fossil fuel projects violating Indigenous sovereignty rights. (See links below for more information.) Right now, we're working on a campaign to stop the PRGT Pipeline and Ksi Lisims through pressuring Liberal party cabinet members to encourage Carney to drop the projects from their list of PONIs (Projects of National Interest). We are working in conjunction with other organizations as a part of the Stop LNG Network strategy along with the Wilderness Committee, Dogwood, David Suzuki Foundation, STAND.earth, and others.

Right now here on MST lands we're focusing on pressuring Gregor Robertson, the Minister of Housing and also Pacific Economic Development, and MP for Fraserview-South Burnaby, to come out against investing in these projects in Parliament and not fund them through the Canada Infrastructure Bank.

We wanted to know if you would be willing and able to meet with us to talk if you have any insights or experiences organizing within Gregor's riding.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you so much for your time and attention!
