I am pleased to be in on this group and wow, bonus, looks like we are
charter members!!!

So which one of you graphic people are going to create our group logo?

Don't look at me, I am a professional copy writer with over twenty
five years of writing experience, 10 of that actively working and
serving clients online.

I do all types of marketing materials and would love to have some
professional designers on my team as associates I can call on when I
need work done.

I target the home-based business owner, I aim to provide professional
services that are affordable to business owners on a shoestring budget
so my clients wouldn't be able to afford a corporate graphic designer
targeting the high end market.

So far my problem with designers have been that most are not good
communicators online. Also they have promised me to meet a specific
deadline (which seemed reasonable to me) and in several instances the
person didn't do the project and when asked didn't answer email. Not
sure why as I am pretty easy to work with.

The ones I have had good success with always seem to get so busy they
don't have time to do little cheapy jobs like mine. :(

So I'm putting it out there, if you ever need a writer and an expert
in Internet and bricks and mortar marketing, and you do graphics and
want to work with me on the odd project let me know. :)

I am not sure what price point you are looking for? I will design a
tri fold brochure for around $425. You can check out my web site at
www.ChaRene.net to get a better idea of my work. I also have a
professional portfolio that has different samples that I show on a
face to face meeting. I find that web sites really do not show off a
designers work the way the in person portfolio does. I have never
worked with someone exclusively via email before. I have owned my own
graphic design business for 23 years and have become a pretty good
writer out of necessity. I am trained primarily as a designer though
and enjoy that the best in completing these type of projects. In my
experience most clients want to keep their costs low and don't want
anymore suppliers than necessary in the mix. My office is out of
Cleveland Ohio and so if you want to give it a try, contact me and we
can discuss projects in more detail.

I would be willing to design our group a logo. I would want all the
charter members to give me an idea of what they envision before I
start. I have been called the "logo Queen" and love logo design so
this would be right up my alley. Everyone chime in on what they would
like to see and I will put something together. Not sure how I would
upload but we can figure it out!

charlene, how I work with graphic artists is I have clients who engage
me to layout and write brochures, flyers and sales sheets. Usually I
use stock photos and can source those myself.

What I can't do is manipulate graphics to make them transparentm for
instance so they show up on the sales sheet like a watermark under the
copy. I sometimes need logos made after the client and I have
brainstormed on design. Then I will brainstorm with my graphic
designer and we come up with a logo that will work.

You are thinking of doing a complete brochure, what I would need you
for is just to create original graphics for my sales sheets, flyers
and brochures.

I also have a online community that I write for, they will be needing
things like logos, perhaps graphics for their websites etc. I know
these wouldn't be big jobs but if we get a steady client base then we
all win even if we are not doing one large job but getting frequent
requests from communities like that one I'm involved in.
