College Sailing 101
Reminder: College Sailing 101 is at Severn School tonight at 7 - 9:30pm

Rig Drop and Boat Flip Session 
There is a mandatory rig drop, boat flip and wash session at 3:30pm this coming Wednesday (December 7). All Varsity and Junior sailors are required to attend this session. It shouldn't take too long. 

Winter Teams Sailing
This has been cancelled due to lack of interest. This may be started up if the weather is warm enough and there is enough interest in Feb.

Summer Sailing
SSA has a wide range of different classes / teams for the 2017 summer and is excited to announce the Summer Coaching Team for 2017. This team has a wealth of coaching knowledge, experience and sailing ability. Over the next couple of weeks, there will be a post on each coach via the SSA Juniors Facebook Page, highlighting their coaching and sailing experience. The team is as follows:

- Lydia Mcpherson-Shambarger: Head Coach - Sails on the St Mary's Sailing Team

- Conner Blouin: Laser Travel Team Coach - Coach at St Mary's

- Carl Evans: 420 Travel Team Coach -  From NZ, 470 Olympian & 2 x 420 World Champ 

- Sam MacKay: Head Optimist Coach - From NZ, 2 x Opti Worlds, Head Coach for Melbourne Opti Sailing Association

- Emma Stenhouse: 420 Chessie Coach - From NZ, 2 x 420 Worlds

- JD Parks: Adventure Sailing Coach - 5th year coaching at SSA, Senior at James Madison University

- Austin Smith: Adventure Sailing Coach - On Connecticut College Sailing Team, 2nd year at SSA

- Christian Filter: Opti RWB Sailing Coach and Opti Beginner Coach - Bowdoin College Sailing Team, 2nd year at SSA

- Phil Schofield: Harbor Rookies, Optimist Beginner and Intermediate - Broadneck Senior, won the 2016 c420 SSA Sandy MacVicker regatta 

- Kate Selley: Optimist Beginner and Intermediate - Sails for Cornell College Sailing Team

- Stephanie Houck: Harbor Rookies, Optimist Beginner and Optimist Green - Severn Senior, won 2015 c420 Nationals in Newport, RI

- Noah Strother: Harbour Rookies, Optimist Beginner and Intermediate - SSA Maintenance Manger and 2016 Spalding HS sailing team grad
