Broadneck Old Farts Lacrosse

Broadneck Old Farts Lacrosse is a weekly organized pick-up game that brings together a group of guys for a casual game of lacrosse.  First organized in 2008 by Mark Maggio, the concept was developed while watching his son play the game that so many have grown to love; there should be a place where parents and coaches can play the game for fun too.  BOFL brings together novices with limited skills who want to learn the game and veterans who have lost a step or two so that all can have some fun and exercise.  By removing full contact, everyone can participate regardless of their skill level or age and still get up in the morning. "Spirited" pushing and shoving still occurs when going for ground balls and during face-offs, but it is kept to a minimum to avoid injuries.

We are always looking for parents, coaches and lax fans to join in whenever possible.  BOFL is open to anyone over 30 years of age (no upper limit).  It is PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISKHelmets and gloves are required.  Arm guards and cleats are recommended.  All other padding is optional.  We provide reversible pennies and randomly select teams for every game.
