Hello,

Our PCC program has been in full-swing since September 2010, and the anecdotal evidence is that people love our services (evidenced by attendance levels at workshops and labs, course evaluation reviews--which are handed out after every program, and verbal praise to staff).  However, I am unsure how other organizations are tracking the success of their program (especially the "did you find a job because of our services" statistic) and would love to hear the best ways in which to do that.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hello, Stephanie,

I am a research fellow working with the Colorado State Library and Library Research Service to collect data for the BTOP program. I am actually on a hunt for tools/forms/surveys used by first-round BTOP recipients to collect this data. I thought I'd respond to your email to ask whether you received any tips or such tools/forms/surveys, and to let you know that I'll keep you in the loop as to what I am able to turn up, also.

Best regards,

Hello, Stephanie,

We have just rolled-out our equipment in Montnana and will be heightening our training and outreach campaigns this summer.  My plans are to build an online survey that patrons can voluntarily fill-out- "How I connect @ my library".  This may be on our MLS website, or hosted on Survey Monkey.  I am hopeful that this will triggger feedback on personal stories such as finishing a degree, finding a job, joining a self-help group, or video-chatting with a soldier abroad.

We also collect training data from our participating libraries monthly.  This includes title of training, hours, total participants (staff vs public), and trainer (partner agency or library staff).

Best of luck,

Donci
