I'm trying to get the word out regarding a bid (probably doomed to failure) to get Instant Runoff Voting in DC. IMHO, this is one of those big issues that I've been quietly promoting for several years, but now that the Washington Post is mentioning that DC Council at Large, David Grosso has put it forth, I figure now is the time to plant the seed in as many minds as possible. Maybe some day it will become the standard for state and federal elections... Not in my lifetime, but still... one can hope.
The following are all variations on the same post, but I'd appreciate your "vote" (ha-ha), mention, retweet, etc.
The most complete text from the above:

DC to consider instant-runoff voting in local elections
The
D.C. Council will consider changing the way the District of Columbia conducts its elections.
elections for mayor, the council and attorney general.
The League of Women Voters, DC, has also been pushing
for this for some time. Instant-runoff (a.k.a. ranked choice) eliminates the penalty of voting for a marginal candidate, allowing folks to vote for someone they want, rather than voting against someone they don't want.
Spread the word and support the effort.
