Into the Light

The Bruges Group spearheads the intellectual battle against the notion of "ever–closer Union"

New Poll: War and Peace

It has been said that the European Union ensures that there will not be another war in Europe. However, with power residing with the EU, democratic elections are losing their meaning. As a result of this, and the EU’s one-size-fits-none policy failures, people in many EU states are turning to political extremes. Furthermore, historical enmity between such countries as Greece and Germany are now resurfacing. These factors could undermine peace, stability and security in Europe.

Q. Does the EU ensure peace, or in the long term will it create tensions that undermine peace and stability?
• The EU ensures peace in Europe?
• EU centralization will create instability?
• Don't know?

Civil Liberties

The European Union is both anti-democratic and illiberal. Britain's tradition of the rule of law has been the best guarantee of liberty. We want to free ourselves from the supranationalist spider’s web of the European Union, and by doing so, contribute to the wider defence of democracy and liberty in Europe.
Free from EU control Britain can protect our civil liberties and restore our democracy.
