Great BAA members’ worldwide,
This is Manz Denga bringing salutations to all the great ambassadors of our equally one in
a million Alma Mata Bristow.
I am pleased to share with you all these, Sunday, 19th December 2021 the bible story of the victory of the Israelites over the Amalek.
I title this message the “Lord is my banner”, you can find the story in Exodus 17:11-15. It says that as long as Moses held up his hands the Israelites were winning but whenever he lowered his hands the Amalek was winning, it continues to say that, when Moses’s hands grew tired they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up one on one side, and the other on the other side so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalak Army with the edge of the sword. He concluded by saying, Moses built an altar and called it, The-LORD-Is-My-Banner. It is from where we derive the title of our message.
Ladies and Gentlemen, since I assumed office as the National President of BAA which due to my humble nature looks too grand for me, and therefore, I lowered it with a preference for the appellation, the Chief Servant.
A lot has happened within these five months, while my hands are still up in the battle to overcome the Amalek of the 8 points agenda with which we campaigned and which is still well on course, we want to plan and stem the possibility of weakening hands in the future. We also want to lower future recruitment into BAA, to emphasize values over financial resources, and therefore encourage our youth who may not be financially sound to also take up strategic leadership.
I today deep my hands in my strategic leadership pool to apply the wisdom of the Aaron and Hur experience to BAA. I will therefore be naming about 50 or so individuals in this broadcast, and appealing that each donates a minimum of a hundred thousand naira (#100,000.00) into our BAA account over the next 3 months so we can come together and give scholarships to our youths and also arrest infrastructure decay in our school and even improve on it.
Now in selecting these individuals, I have used the following criteria;
I. Family and friends.
II. Mentors.
III. Benefactors (mutual in the past).
IV. Lecturers/teachers to me whom I met in Bristow and after.
V. Those who have shown great love for BAA affairs.
VI. Philanthropic disposition to BAA and the society at large.
VII. Classmates.
VIII. Individuals doing well in a hostile environment around the world (Nigeria been inclusive) since leaving Bristow.
IX. Altruism and willingness to associate with positive creative leadership and energy.
X. Those who have contributed to my projects in the past.

The BAA accounts to be used are the only BAA accounts that we have, you can kindly specify beside your name, Aaron-and-Hur so that we can give a proper account when the time comes. The accounts are; First Bank
2015254139 and FCMB
8204607019 – Bristow Alumni Association, no personal accounts permitted.
I realized that not every one of those names may have access to this broadcast, therefore, I urge sets coordinators to help pass this message to people in their sets, some of whom are based abroad and some with whom we have not interacted in more than three decades but I lean on the good times we shared and hope that they would heed on this clarion call.
Please note, this is independent of other EXCO initiatives to raise funds as we would be briefed from time to time by the National Vice President and or Treasurer.
God bless you all.
Merry Christmas,
I remain your BAA, Chief Servant
2021 – 2023.
