Good morning most distinguished Trustees, College of Past Presidents, Exco colleagues, Branch Leaders, Set Coordinators and the great General Assembly of BAA.

Recall that we had inaugurated the Convention Advisory Committee (CAC) made up of BAA icons, with Bristow Number 1 Hon Engr Peter Abwa as Chairman.

In the initial composition, Arc Simon Gusah was named Secretary to the Committee.

Since then, Arc Gusah has asked to be excused on ground of other pressing commitments. And we have accepted.

Just this week, this  Australia based BAA member was named as a member of the Enugu State Transition Committee of 100 wise men.
And we are happy the world is finally taking note of the capabilities of BAA members, with his appointment.
We congratulate him and release him, in line with our mantra in 2021, as we created the first BAA website thereby enabling our association on the Internet- "BAA to the world"!!

Noting that we have a large pool of BAA Icons by whatever standards, I have looked at our 12,000+ strong organisation and done a replacement for the departing icon, with another BAA Heavy weight - Mr Terna Abbo (BAA 1993).
He became generally known as Mr fixer, when he singlehandedly refurbished a block in Bristow at an all-in cost to him of N7M, among so many other philanthropic deeds in and ex BAA.

Terna Abbo with UNHCR in Addis Ababa, is on his way for further posting to Nairobi - Kenya.
His ICT endowment would enable him serve this Committee seamlessly, as the new Secretary.

The COC leadership should note and give him appropriate briefing and admission to the CAC  platform to enable him perform this role, while simultaneously excusing Gusah from the same.

Please join me in congratulating Mr Abbo, a BAA icon, as he joins the team to give us a great Convention 2023.

Thank you very much.

BAA to the world!

Manz Denga,
Chief Servant, BAA
(2021-2023).
