Additional Cockpit Lockers

Hi,

I know that some have added additional cockpit lockers. I’m about to add one on the aft starboard side. I’d be interested if anyone has experience with building the “gutters” around the edges and is willing to share information and maybe photos.

Scott,

I added my lockers about 20 years ago. I recall I made a mold for the gutters and glassed them to the underside. For the hatch I ground back and tapered the balsa and most importantly added a drip edge. In a few weeks I will be back from my southern boat and can get you some photos.

Thanks, Dan. That schedule works well since I’m not about to cut a big hole in the cockpit seat until the sailing season truly ends in Maryland.
