Boat Transport Nightmare

Hi,
We had a boat transported by truck (not our Bristol) from CT to FL and it got damaged. The truck company is not cooperating and wont give us their insurance information or even a Bill of Lading.
We've tried the police (they said the damage happened elsewhere not in their jurisdiction). I'm not even sure exactly what state the damage occurred.
Does anyone have suggestions? Or know of a lawyer we could consult?

Sorry to hear of your boat damage and issues with transport company. Only assist I can be is to refer you to the either Wind Check or Points East..You can find them at any chandlery or west marine for free. One or both of them has a regular column by naval attorney who might be able to help.. thnks

OMG Douglas!!!! You were removed the last time you bitched about it. You can check the memberships your self, and I just checked again. So if you are getting this, there is nothing that can be done at this end. Add us to you spam list should do it. Or click on unscribe on the bottom of the email.

lol, I believe Douglas was still in the group when these two threads were started, his email is attached to them. And he will continue getting them until those threads go cold. I don't think he will get and new thread posts. Do you hear the Douglas? Or are you gone?
