Bristol Girl Geek Dinners
I am very
pleased to announce our 4th Bristol Girl Geek Dinner on Thursday 20th
of May.
The event has for theme: Engineers Without Borders, and we couldn’t hold it in a more appropriate venue than in Engineers’ House by the Clifton suspension bridge!
A lot will be happening at this month’s dinner!
We are very lucky to have some ladies from Engineers Without Borders (EWB - http://www.ewb-uk.org) coming to present their work and the action of EWB across the world. Hannah and Josephine will start by presenting a movie about Water in Developing Countries and the role of women in bringing water. They will then share their experience abroad in developing communities.
We will also have the opportunity to hear about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), their action with schools and colleges; and how Bristol Girl Geeks can help inspiring more girls towards Engineering and Technology careers! www.stemsw.co.uk
has kindly agreed to sponsor our event and is offering 50 girl
geeks a full sit down dinner.
