Wildfire seeks a cutting-edge lead developer to continue its
innovation in the social media arena. Recently shortlisted for Online
Publisher of the Year at the prestigious AOP awards, Wildfire is now
looking for a PHP guru to lead the online development of our own
social media products and our burgeoning agency work. Based in
Paintworks, Bristol’s creative quarter, the work environment is
friendly, fun, typically fast-paced and team-intensive. To be
considered for the role you must have:
• Comprehensive understanding of Web 2.0 social media
• Understanding of user engagement
• Trendspotting – able to identify the next ‘essential’ functionality
to retain/gain users
• Project management and ability to work to strict deadlines
• Client-facing – personable and able to build a rapport with clients,
agency background highly-regarded
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in PHO, MYSQL, CSS, XHTML, XML, SOAP,
Javascript, AJAX
• Drupal experience
• Demonstrable ability to manage a team of in-house, and outsource,
developers
• Understanding of Information Architecture
• Some experience in Photoshop, video encoding, Flash and ActionScript
3 would be beneficial.
