Hi Craig, Thanks for the
invitation for feedback. I think Lara's suggestions have merit. I think variety
in meetings would add that element of change that we hope to
inspire in all. Dr. Chan's talk last night was a good example. I believe
people should decide whether they are 'beginners' or not based on there own
assessment (we would hate to encourage a heirarchial system to our group). Also
many have deepened in other walks before they are introduced to Eckhart
and could offer much to an 'advanced' group discussion. Perhaps a more deepened
person could faciltate the 'beginners' discussion group thus providing guidance
and acquiring skills to 'chair' the larger gatherings (you've got to
take a sicky sooner or later). I like the thought of us all meeting together
rather than separate nights for 'advanced' and 'beginners' and am conscious of
the need to not loook elitist to any new members. We should be free to float
between groups to find our own level of growth and speed of advancement. Should
members feel the desire to consult in more personal groups they may wish to
utilise the Three Monkeys or a more private venue but I think to divide more
than the above suggestions could risk fracturing a formula that yoursef and
others have nurtured for so long. However I am a strong believer in
refreshing a winnning formula from time to time. Hope this adds to the debate.
regards
Michael
Hi Craig,
Just some quick feed back
it was good having some advanced people in the group when I was a beginner as
then it helped with questions, I guess also how we evuate wether people are
advanced or not, but Lara, could be right the intimicy and help from the group
has gone due to the large number as expected, but its still great.
oh and studying the books again would be very helpful
cheers
