Rasmussen Funeral Home: A Tribute to Mac

Mac was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023. He was 78 years old and lived a full and rich life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mac was born on June 12, 1944 in Santa Clara, California. He grew up in a large and loving family, with six siblings and many cousins. He attended Santa Clara High School, where he met his future wife, Linda. They married in 1966 and had three children: Mark, Lisa, and Amy.

Mac had a passion for music and played the guitar in several bands throughout his life. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, and traveling with his family. He worked as an engineer for Intel for over 30 years and retired in 2006.

Mac was a kind and generous man who always had a smile on his face. He loved to make people laugh and had a great sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who always put others before himself. He was a man of faith and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mac is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda; his children Mark (Susan), Lisa (David), and Amy (Brian); his grandchildren Michael, Sarah, Matthew, Emily, Jacob, Hannah, and Ethan; his siblings Bob (Mary), Sue (Jim), Tom (Karen), Ann (Steve), Bill (Nancy), and Jane (John); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mac's funeral service will be held on April 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Rasmussen Funeral Home in Santa Clara. A viewing will be held on April 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the same location. Interment will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Rasmussen Funeral Home for their professional and compassionate care. They would also like to express their gratitude to all who have offered their condolences, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society in Mac's name.

Mac was a wonderful person who touched many lives. He will always be remembered and cherished in our hearts.

Mac had a love for learning and was always curious about the world. He read books on various topics, from history to science to philosophy. He also liked to watch documentaries and listen to podcasts. He was always eager to share his knowledge and opinions with others, and enjoyed having lively discussions and debates.

Mac was also a creative person who liked to express himself through art. He painted landscapes and portraits, and sometimes sold his paintings at local fairs and markets. He also wrote poems and songs, and recorded some of them in his home studio. He had a talent for storytelling and often entertained his grandchildren with his imaginative tales.

Mac was a loyal and supportive friend who always kept in touch with his old classmates and colleagues. He attended reunions and gatherings whenever he could, and loved to reminisce about the good old days. He also made new friends wherever he went, and was always interested in learning about their lives and cultures.
