Judge: Margery Amdur, Associate Professor/Artist Rutgers University
Originally from Pittsburgh, Margery Amdur received her B.F.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and her M.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Since graduation, she has lived and worked throughout the U.S. Ms. Amdur has had over 60 solo and two-person exhibitions and has appeared in numerous group shows. Her international exhibitions include Turkey, Hungary, and England. She has curated and organized national exhibitions and is the recipient of more than a dozen awards and grants. She has been reviewed in several national and international publications.

Judge: Penelope A. Dixon
Penelope Dixon has 30 years of experience in fine art
photography including positions at the auction houses of Phillips Son &
Neale and Argus, Ltd., both in Manhattan. She has served on the boards of a
number of arts organizations as well as given lectures and contributed to many
books and articles relating to fine art photography. She is currently an active
member on the board of the Appraisers Association of America and is the author
of Photographers of the Farm Security Administration: An Annotated Bibliography.
Penelope has participated in panel discussions on the topics of appraising and
collecting of photographs. Among these are talks at the Houston Museum of Art,
The Center for Photography at Woodstock, The New School for Social Research, New
York City, Albright Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York, The Sun Valley Center
for the Arts and the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto. She holds a B.A. Degree in
Visual Communications, American University, Washington, DC (l970) and M.A.
Degree in Liberal Studies, City University of New York, New York City
(1990).
