Any recommendations, or will this be built into a future Webex version? All I've been able to find on the Cisco Collab Help site so far is this: -us/WBX57619/What-is-the-Recommended-Screen-Resolution-for-Optimal-Viewing-in-a-Webex-Meeting
DOWNLOAD ☆☆☆☆☆ https://urlin.us/2yKrR3
I just read Cisco's KB article about the optimal sharing resolution and they suggest changing it before sharing. Is it supposed to be a joke? No other vendor of similar software requires its users to do such things. Unbelievable.
Yup same issue, has anyone got a good workaround for the moment? I have a 34" ultrawide on a MacBook pro. I normally have Google Chrome opened on the right side of the screen and meeting notepad opened on the left half of the screen. I only want to share just the google chrome app, but when I do this with WebEx, the viewer sees whitespace on the left side of the screen. Any help here would be great!
I have been having the same issue. The only workaround I have found is to switch the resolution of the monitor to 1920x1080 when I am sharing my screen. I use the DisplayFusion software to have a different monitor profile saved and assigned to a hot-key to switch the resolution. Not great, I know, but at least I can switch instantly instead of going through the windows display manager.
Dear Cisco: If you are reading this, can you add an option for sharing where; WebEx asks what Application you want to share, asks if you want to lock the resolution of it, that brings up a drop list of common sizes (like 1920x1080), then it resizes the window on your screen and locks it at that resolution, and you share only that application/window without all the extra black space around it?
I use a large screen as well. While it is obviously not possible to share just a part of it, the problem appears also when I share a window (of small size). The participants complain that it appears really small (too small to read). I don't understand why the overall screen size influences the scaling of the actually shared window... No problems with Teams, Skype for Business.
This allows me to configure multiple smaller "monitors" on this large 49" screen, where I can easily set programs to "full screen" within these splits simply by double-clicking on the top of the window.
The local Workspace app's window does properly resize to the split window-size, but the Citrix app on the server does not, it resizes to the maximum display resolution of the entire screen, not to the size of the split.
It is as if the maximize command that the local windows receives is correctly caught by DisplayFusion and set to the split's size instead of the desktop's size, but the "maximize" command is also just translated back unfiltered to the Citrix environment by the Workspace app and since it is not running DisplayFusion, it just maximizes to the full size of the screen as detected by Citrix XenApp.
The program was manually resized to fit split 2 here, and then maximized, which caused the XenApp app to maximize the the full screen width, but somehow the shown image is scrunched into something even smaller than the split it was supposed to fill (split size marked with lines at the top).
Is it possible that you can disable/block any transfer of a maximize or minimize commands to Citrix and simply make a detection of window size and location of window to ensure that the Citrix remote desktop window size is always the same size and location as the local Workspace Window representing the XenApp app, regardless of how the window was resized and to which size?
I'd recommend you get in touch with the DisplayFusion technicians to work out how your Workspace program can work better with DisplayFusion, or maybe how DisplayFusion can work better with Workspace/Citrix.
Dropbox popup window is partially off screen; cannot quit Dropbox. In Windows 10, in the task bar, I click on Dropbox icon in the task bar notification area and the Dropbox window pops up with the upper half off screen, so I cannot quit Dropbox or access any Dropbox settings, search, open Dropbox folder on local computer or in cloud. Please don't tell me that is a software limitation with Windows display management. Many other programs do not have this problem in Windows. When I increase my resolution through Windows Display settings then Dropbox pops up the window with all the normal icon controls visible. Up until a few weeks ago the Dropbox window would pop up with the menu icons at the top of the window easily accessible. Not anymore. There mus of been a Dropbox update that has screwed up that dialog window. How do I report this recently introduced bug to Dropbox--not that I actually believe they will fix it.

I've been waiting for a fix of this Dropbox bug since June of 2022. Earlier this week (01/05/2023) I downloaded and installed the latest version of Dropbox for my Windows 10 computer. The display issue I reported which fostered this thread, has yet be corrected.
I find it oddly amusing that every time I cause the standard window to open, it has shifted a little bit more and more. eventually there will be nothing left! I would attach an image, but snipping tool, win+shift+S doesnt work either. The screen dims with the offending dropbox popup there ready to be imaged, I make a rectangle. Nothing happens. Snip won't snip for me unless I click "new" and that scares dropbox away. What a world of frustrating apps we have today.

Dell Display Manager (DDM) enhances everyday productivity through comprehensive management tools giving you optimal front of screen experience, efficient display management, and effortless multitasking.
In a multiple-monitor setup, DDM 1.x and DDM 2.x can both be installed on a computer simultaneously. However, if all your monitors support DDM 2.x, we recommend you uninstall DDM 1.x and use DDM 2.x only.
The Display menu provides a single window to customize display related settings of the monitor such as resolution, refresh rate, orientation, and Smart HDR.

This menu enables you to adjust the brightness or contrast settings of their monitor manually and automatically based on their scheduled time.

Monitors that have Ambient Light Sensor can use Auto mode to automatically adjust brightness and color temperature based on surrounding light conditions. You can choose to define a brightness range based on your preference.

You can also create customized layouts. Hover over the layout that you want and click the pen icon once it appears. Click and drag the partition line until the layout is customized to your preference. You can also save your customized layouts and use it in future.
Application Windows Snap helps you with placing a program quickly to any screen. When enabled in Dell Display Manager 2.x, dragging the application window triggers a floating menu that contains recently used Easy Arrange layouts. You can drop the application to any of the listed layouts to perform window placement.
This feature allows sharing of a keyboard and mouse while transferring a file between client devices in a cluster. Sharing of files is also supported across operating systems. (For example: From Windows to macOS and the opposite way)
Export and import settings- Export Settings command write all DDM settings for all the active monitors to the designated file. Import Settings command reads all the settings recorded in the designated filename and assigns them to other monitors of the same model.
Accessing Dell Display Manager (DDM) features and the most recent Easy Arrange layouts is easier than ever. Enter preset hotkeys to bring up Dell Display Manager (DDM) UI at the touch of the keyboard. Also, switch between your favorite Easy Arrange layouts and templates.
A more intuitive way to configure monitor settings. Drag and drop the Dell Display Manager UI menu from one monitor to another. In a multimonitor configuration, it allows you to control and change the monitor settings.
Viewing and using Dell Display Manager (DDM) in portrait mode is now possible. Dell Display Manager (DDM) Easy Arrange templates automatically switch to portrait mode when monitor orientation is pivoted vertically.
