Does medicine need a paradigm shift?

I had to write this blog post: https://mbbshacker.blogspot.com/2022/12/does-medicine-need-paradigm-shift.html

It was in response to a thread in a list that talked about how medicine is based on a "paradigm of large numbers" and therefore considers things like homeopathy as charlatanry and so on.

Apparently, the person who made that argument is also a "staunch believer in modern Western medicine". Anyhow, I used some of the learnings this group gave me 13 years ago to write this post.
