Server-Side Software Engineer

Sunnyvale, CA

6+ Months

PRIMARY SKILL: Java/Web Applications
A Java Server-side Software Engineer is needed to help build, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and deploy scalable, high-performance web/API applications.
This individual must not only be proficient in Java, Java data structures, unit test creation and testing, implementing software to exactly match a design spec, manipulating binaries, debugging, but also highly proficient in Linux/Unix systems and terminal use.
A good understanding of REST principles, REST API development, web applications, and (preferably) some basic security concepts such as data encoding schemes as ASN.1 and Base64.
Knowledge of NoSql technology such as Cassandra, having working experience on large scale web applications deployed across multiple data centers,
basic understanding of git, testing strategies, and various security concepts including PKI and Cryptography would be a plus.
Chrome web debugger, Safari debugger or IE debugger
