hey all,

lets list what we've open sourced, i'll start :)

http://github.com/joshr/onePageMapSite

it's the code behind http://brightonwifi.com and http://eatinbrighton.com

Brian Suda started it, i added to it. it's simple, bits are broken,
but it does what it does pretty well i think.

Madgex open sourced our oAuth lib for C# & it's very widely used:

Some of the devs are starting to look at the oAuth v2 spec for the next release.

i've not investigated the intricacies of the different licenses that
are used for open-sourcing software/code, it was on recommendation :)

GPL - Do what you want with it, but if you change it, give the changes
back.
MIT - Do what you want with it.

BSD - effectively the same as MIT these days.

+ If you're plan on using it in a commercial product you have to ask
permission + more if you're looking at the v3 license

+ dont sue us if it goes wrong

it's a big can of worms but Chris DiBona did a good job of breaking
down the strengths of each license & scenarios where you'd use one
over the other a few years back.
