Does anyone know how to run the Spotify app through a SSH tunnel using
PuTTY or through a VPN? I'm in Australia and it only gives me 14 days
over here because 'it\'s not available in your area'.

Thanks in advance,

James Lawrie.

Hi James

Yes, you could do that fairly simply. Using NAT over VPN would work fine, in
fact on Windows VPNs default to using it as the gateway for all traffic, but
you'd want to instead provide an exception.

Or even simpler, possibly, use the Proxy settings in Spotify, and then set
up a server in the UK to provide Socks proxying...

The easiest option if you have ssh access to a server that's based in
the uk is create a tunnel with your ssh client set to create a SOCKS
proxy so that other apps can proxy through the tunnel eg

Hi,

Does anyone know of an outfit that can cut MDF sheet (say 12mm) to size?

The local DIY stores (Wickes, B&Q, Homebase) either don't have cutting
services, or their saws are broken :(

cheers,
Toby

Hi,

I'm in the same position myself.
Apparently it's a health and safety/cost issue due to the carcinogenic
properties of MDF dust.

Cheers,
Martin.

North Road Timber on... wait for it... North Road.

I had them cut a large piece of 2.5cm thick MDF to size for a corner desk.
They managed to understand my complicated drawing and delivered it too.

You could try North Road Timber, Stamco Timber or Alsford Timber. I've used
them all before, and they're pretty helpful.

TIMBER!!!

Can't be arsed to Google the numbers, but you get the idea. It's timber
merchants you want, not DIY superstores.
