Hi there

My name's Lucy Freeborn and I work at Propellernet in Hove (online and social marketing agency), but before that I was head of consumer PR for Europe for Yahoo! and I'd love to get involved with brighton geek girls.

I am also setting up a Brighton branch of SheSays
It's an organisation of brilliant women that was launched in London a few years ago, but has been so successful we've launched across the world!  Cool, huh?

It's an opportunity for lots of like minded woman involved in the digital, creative and marketing space to network, learn from each other and support each other.

I'm hoping to launch the Brighton branch with a speaker event some time in September / October.  Everything is free to members, we can pay presenters as a little thank you for their time, but the main aim of SheSays is to network and learn from each other.

I'd love the ladies of Brighton Geek Girls to get involved.  Some things will naturally be more relevant than others for all - but do let me know what you think.  Would love your thoughts and feedback.

What are you interested in? Would you come to a free event if it was compelling enough?  Have you heard of SheSays before?

Questions, questions, but I would love to hear all your thoughts.

This is my personal email address, but work is: lu...@propellernet.co.uk and mobile is 07866 543 616.  This is me http://www.propellernet.co.uk/about-us/meet-the-team/lucy-freeborn

Email me at work, I would love to hear from you!

Kind regards

Lucy

Hi Lucy

A quick answer to some of your questions:

I would definitely come to a free event if it was "compelling enough" and I hadn't heard of Shesays before your email. Looks interesting though.

I've been a member of the local Geek Girls pretty much since it was formed almost 2 years ago and I've really enjoyed the talks and get togethers.

I was working in internet marketing until recently but have now returned to personal and business coaching.

In terms of what would interest me - anything that is a bit out of the ordinary or is presented in an unusual way.

Look forward to meeting you somewhere on the circuit.

Best Wishes
Gillian
