Use8 is the official media partner for the University of Brighton
Research and Innovation awards 2009 on the 25th of June. This year the
event is open to the local community and all members of use8 can book
a place at the event. Places are limited so please book your place
now.

The Research and Innovation Awards are designed to recognize and
celebrate the very best in creative and entrepreneurial talent from
the University of Brighton. This year we are inviting the local
community to celebrate with us and see for themselves what the
University has to offer in terms of creativity and innovation.

The awards will showcase outstanding contributions from academic
staff, students and graduates.This year entries from across all the
University`s departments and faculties will compete in three
categories: Innovation - for the most original idea for a new product
or concept offering commercial potential and/or environmental benefit.
Entrepreneurship - for the most innovative advancement of an existing
product or service offering commercial potential and/or environmental
benefit. Social Enterprise - for the most innovative idea for a
project or service offering social/environmental and commercial
benefits, with the potential to become a sustainable social enterprise
in the future. Across all categories the judging panel will be looking
for innovation in ideas, methods and research.

The Research and Innovation awards 2009 offers a great opportunity to
meet some interesting people and to support local Entrepreneurship &
