Responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer, you'll be part of a team that’s building new analytical and machine learning tools and frameworks to exploit advantages in the latest developments in cloud computing - EMR, Airflow, SageMaker, etc.
You will participate in detailed technical design, development and implementation of applications used by our data scientists and business analysts to build and launch models, analyse data, and make decisions.

2)Role: ETL Datastage Developer

Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: Long Term

Description of role -

Responsible for hands on development of data pipelines using ETL tools and related technologies
Responsible for managing, optimizing, overseeing and monitoring data retrieval, storage and distribution of data
Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
Toggling use cases and ensure optimal reuse / simplification across projects
Work with the Data Architects/Product Owner/Scrum Master with regards to sprint planning

Required Experience and Qualifications -

Must have significant (5+ years) hands on ETL & ELT development experience with one of the top ETL tools in industry (Data Stage, SSIS).
Experience with source control systems
Experience with Azure dev Ops or TFS is a plus.
Good knowledge in database query and tuning a must
Experience with MSFT tech stack is a plus
Experience with various scripting languages/tools, data formats, networking concepts.
Background in data management, data integration technologies and handling large volumes of data effectively mandatory.
Experience from Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms & Cloud ETL tools preferred.(Nice to have)
Deep Good knowledge of various database design /architecture, warehousing, modelling and mining.
Any experience with modern programming languages(Java, C#, Python etc) is a plus/nice to have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline Overall 5+ years of experience designing and developing ETL processes
3+ years of experience with SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server and T-SQL
Data analysis, data presentation, spreadsheet and database capabilities
3+ years of experience automating ETL pipelines with a heavy emphasis on quality, validation and tracking
Experience with SAS or other statistical applications
Experience with SSAS, Tabular Models and/or Star Schemas
Experience with Healthcare data/Medical data
Experience with NoSQL Database such as Hadoop and MongoDB

Essential Functions

Design, develop and implement ETL solutions for ingesting, cleansing, business rules execution and pushing customer data into systems.
Significant participation in analysis, interpretation, and translation of complex health plan data, issues, trends and relationships to provide our customers detailed insights into their data
Analyze and interpret complex data on source and target systems, identify the gaps, and provide solutions
Ability to write complex SQL queries
Optimizes SSIS package execution and SQL execution to minimize load times.
Ensures data integrity throughout the ETL process and appropriately handle errors
Work closely with Scrum team members using Agile processes to iteratively develop and improve ETL pipelines.
Proactively provide feedback and process improvement recommendations to the team and management

4)Role: Sr. Data Engineer/ Big Data/ Hadoop/ Spark/ ML Engineer

Duration: Long term
Minimum Experience: 7+ years/ Mandatory

Description:

1. Designs, modifies, implements, tests, and provides operational support for enterprise software products and platforms, including software infrastructure and development tools for Data Platform components and modules in AWS-hosted environments

2. Engages in building solutions leveraging technologies including but not limited to Scala, Spark, Hive and AWS services such as EC2, S3, EMR, ELB, Kinesis, SNS, Redshift, Data Pipelines

3. Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a top-level contributor

4. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals according to timelines and budgets agreed upon with business stakeholders

5. Communicates proactively and effectively with team members and other project stakeholders in a highly Agile environment.

Required Skills:

1. Minimum of 6 years in the IT industry with a focus on the development of complex business systems.

2. Strong knowledge and minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Big Data technologies with data stores such as DynamoDB, Cassandra and related tools and systems

3. Deep technical understanding of Spark, and Hive.

4. Strong background in Scala, relational databases, and complex systems integration.

5. Experience building and supporting complex systems in AWS Cloud environment

6. Experience in data modeling for NoSQL databases

7. Strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment, test driven development, and unit test automation

8. Experience in developing an enterprise product line using Agile-Scrum development methodologies

9. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

10. Experience in the Healthcare software or IT industry preferred.
