Hello Brewers,

Happy New Year to you all!

A few things:

1) Self and Beth are having a go at a wheat beer next, with a view to winning the competition next year (in Beth's head anyway).  Possibly one for the website.

2) http://www.sussexbeerfestival.co.uk/tickets.htm

It looks like a few of us folks are going to the thursday evening session.  Anyone interested, shout up (or get a ticket, more usefully)!

3) There is a visit to look at the brewery in the Hand in Hand being investigated.  It was Brighton's only brewpub after the evening star moved out of town and before all the other brewpubs popped up.  Early doors yet but will keep people posted, it wont be a big thing I dont think as the brewery is very small.   For the same reason it could be useful for those of us brewing in lofts and small spaces!

4) A new micro brewery is opening in the coachworks, "Bartlbury Brewery" apparently (nothing to do with the horse in "The Archers").  Slim chance the brewing circle might be represented at the opening.  More details as they emerge.
5) Should we have some kind of planning meeting/agm type thing for the year?

Cheers!

Will

Hello,
In a similar vein we have the spin up in a brewery in May which some of us went to last year. It's a way off but here are the details anyway:-

With regard to Hove beer feast it I'd like to go but Friday be more doable for me, is Thursday set in stone?

All the best.
Ed

I'd be up for the beer festival! As to the AGM - over a pint at the same?

Spin up looks great too!

Do you guys need your brew pan and coil back?

Bartlbury is my friend and brewing partner Matt and his friend Matt... It's very early days so don't expect commercially available beer for some time yet!

Truly, they missed an opportunity there to call it Beer Matts.  But then that one has already been taken.

2) Up for beer fest but yes, more a weekend night than a weekday would be better for me I guess...

3) It would be fantastic to head over to the Hand in Hand - other brewpubs? I thought it was only that North Laine superpub that opened up which brews its own - albeit if I do say so rather shoddy - booze...

Ooh count me in for a beer fest outing.  I think I have something on thursday, otherwise I'd choose it.  Friday and saturday will likely be a crush!

Anyway, keep me posted.
