As we wrestle with the consequences of leaders who are disconnected from the truth of our everyday lives, as Billions of dollars are found for far away countries, we scramble to fill the gap by underfunded programs of help.  Yet in the midst of this, maybe even more now, let us not lose sight of our veterans.  Those among us who have been sent to war in our name, of whom we asked everything and who have returned home to hunger. We must must lift the banner of justice and work the field fairness.  A motto of the service is "leave no one behind', in this era of some getting Trillion dollar salaries as others of us scramble with three jobs, let me say "leave no one behind" is a good motto for us all.

Please see below a message I began sending too many years ago but still applies.

Happy Veterans Day

--image.png

As we pause to remember the people, the persons, the friends, cousins, sisters, brothers and fathers and mothers who have gone into harm's way, on this Veteran's Day, remember, all their wounds are  not visible.

Above are two of our most well known persons in Brightmoor whom you may or may not know are veterans, Jonathon Clark and his wife Ms. Dawn Wilson Clark. Mr. Jonathon Clark passed away (a few years ago).

Mr. Clark was fearless in many ways and one of them was  his fearless confession of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) as a result of his service.  He recognized it, fought to have others recognize and made it a point of his work of salvation to help others with it.

So today, tell someone you know you honor their service but also take the time to see them and to care about the wounds you may not see.  We miss you Mr. Clark and we honor you, your wife  and all your sibling servicefolk on this Veteran's Day.
Thank You,
revL
